Welcome to The Jesus Hub!

On this channel I combine my love for Jesus with my passion for teaching English. Lessons are for an intermediate B1 level and higher and use the Bible and other Christian materials as a basis.

Please note that materials are simplified to teach English as a foreign language. For further reading, please visit Bible Gateway (biblegateway.com) for reliable Bible translations. I recommend reading the original scriptures from my videos, so you understand the context and get the full story. Come with me on a learning journey you won't forget 😊

Churches, ministries, or individuals wishing to obtain a free copy of the teaching materials featured in this video are invited to visit the Linktree on the main channel page and follow the download link provided for non-commercial uses.

Hi everyone!
I recently discovered a great resource and wanted to share it with you: the app Through The Word (TTW).

TTW is a free app that makes understanding the Bible easy with short, engaging audio guides. You can choose any book from the Old or New Testament, and each day, you'll go through one chapter. First, you listen to a short lesson from a Bible teacher who explains the passage in just a few minutes. This is followed by the reading of the chapter itself.

The app also offers reading plans on specific topics (e.g. prayer, marriage, foundations etc.) to help you apply Scripture to your daily life.

This year, I’ve listened already through Revelation, Acts, and Galatians and really enjoyed it! I love that each session is only about 15 minutes, making it easy to stay consistent with my Bible reading. Plus, the teachers often share insights that help me see familiar passages in a new way. You can also set up a group and read a book together with friends.

If you're looking for a simple, structured way to grow in your faith, I highly recommend checking it out!

⚑Learning something new takes perseverance, just like the intense preparation Olympians undergo. πŸ…βœ¨ Olympic athletes train tirelessly, overcoming obstacles and pushing their limits to achieve greatness. Similarly, scripture teaches us the power of dedication and patience to reach our goals. πŸ“–πŸ’ͺ

Language learning requires the same commitment. Every step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to fluency. Just as athletes rely on their training and faith to succeed, trust the process and keep pushing forward. You’ve got this! πŸŒŸπŸ“š

Happy Saturday everyone! πŸ‘‹ I hope you all had a beautiful week and are enjoying the start of the weekend! I've just published a new video: An A-Z guide on Christian vocabulary. We are going to learn some key words from the Christian faith that are often not taught in a normal English class - but you hear them at church! For example, worship, disciple, repentance and atonement. Let's go over these together so you understand what they mean and how to pronounce them! 😊

Learn the 4 narrative tenses in English! πŸ‘‰ past simple, past continuous, past perfect simple & past perfect continuous. We use these when we talk about the past or when we tell a story. In our lesson today, we are going to borrow a famous story Jesus once told about a man and his two sons. I hope you enjoy the lesson!

Welcome to the Jesus Hub! The YouTube channel teaching you English as a foreign language with Christian-based materials. Watch my video lessons to discover more than just grammar rules and new vocabulary. In each lesson you'll learn something about the English language, but also about Jesus, his life, the stories he told and what he has to say to you!

Let me introduce myself: My name is Billie, and I am a passionate English teacher and follower of Jesus. On this channel I combine my love for God with my love for teaching. I hope you'll join me on this journey!

I know that initially, my videos were only teaching snippets of English in the form of shorts. In future, I am going to post longer video lessons on grammar and vocabulary topics, as well as interviews in easy English with real life stories of Christian believers. I understand that some of you hit 'subscribe' thinking this channel only teaches the language and you might not want to receive the faith aspect. I respect that and you are absolutely free to unfollow in peace, although I hope you stay for a while and give this channel a try!

Much love,
Billie
