The safety of a kill switch
try to hot wire the end

nothing but spikes in the road ahead
an alignment of scattered castles
and fires at the house of the end
screaming in a crowded theater
carving the name of the wolves circling
the walls ever enclosing
a glass castle collapsing
a last chance vanishing
the safety is locked and the rope is stashed and the chemicals separating
a mansion of maybe and castles of ice
nothing but smooth fucking sailing
a veritable vessel of let’s wade the sea
the fear behind the curtain being
the finality of a final failing
