the kind of books i read/ hear… without sugar-coating….

1. Science and rationalism
I enjoy books that break superstition’s spine. Authors like Dawkins, Sagan, Hitchens, Harris, Harari. Anything that explains evolution, cosmology, neuroscience, scientific temper or the strange workings of the universe.

2. Atheism, philosophy and skepticism
i like books that challenge organised religion, caste, dogma, and blind belief. i like sharp thinkers who argue with evidence, not emotion. Moral philosophy, humanism, secularism -these lanes suit your reading habit.

3. History – especially Kerala, India, colonial archives
I pick up books like Logan’s Malabar Manual, Cochin State Manual, old gazetteers, British surveys, district manuals, independence-era political histories, and anything that maps how places like Palakkad, Chittur, Tattamangalam evolved.

4. Railways, maps, geography & infrastructure
Cartophile plus railfan is a deadly combo. I am into atlases, old survey maps, railway history, gauge conversions, GTS survey accounts, and books on India’s transport systems.

5. Politics, democracy, governance
Books analysing Indian politics, constitutional values, secularism, federalism, media capture, election systems, and democratic decline. I prefer non-partisan, data heavy writing that cuts through propaganda.

6. Technology, internet culture, digital media
I read books on SEO, digital marketing strategy, user behaviour, analytics, advertising psychology, and the sociology of the internet.

7. Civic sense, public policy & urban problems
My interest in waste management, roads, footpaths, rail safety, and governance means you gravitate toward books that dissect bureaucracy, urban planning, and public systems.

8. Biography of thinkers, reformers and scientists
I tend to pick lives of people who fought ignorance or shaped science - Ambedkar, Gandhi (the factual, not the caricatured version), Nehru, Periyar, Einstein, Feynman.

9. Kerala literature & Malayalam non-fiction
Especially social commentary, rationalist writing, essays on culture and society, books by Kerala progressives, and historical analysis.

10. Light but intelligent reading
Travelogues, photo-essays, nature writing, cycling stories, and books about food, geography, and people - but always with substance.

Insta360 GO 3S vs GO Ultra: Which Tiny Action Camera Should You Buy?

The action camera market has exploded in recent years, with Insta360 leading the way in compact, feature-rich designs. Two of its most talked-about models today are the Insta360 GO 3S and the Insta360 GO Ultra. While both are pocket-sized powerhouses, they cater to slightly different audiences.

If you’re stuck choosing between the GO 3S vs GO Ultra, this detailed comparison will help you make the right call.

1. Sensor & Video Performance

Insta360 GO 3S
The GO 3S is equipped with a 1/2.3" sensor, capable of shooting 4K video at 30fps and smooth slow-motion at 2.7K. It captures photos at around 12MP, making it perfect for casual content creators, vloggers, and travelers.

Insta360 GO Ultra
The Ultra takes things to the next level with a 1/1.28" sensor, which is over twice the size of the GO 3S sensor. This allows for 4K60fps recording, stunning 50MP stills, and advanced AI features like PureVideo low-light mode and Active HDR. If you shoot in challenging light conditions, the Ultra is a clear winner.
Verdict: GO Ultra delivers superior image quality and low-light performance.

2. Storage Options & Battery Life

GO 3S: Internal storage only (64GB or 128GB). Battery lasts ~38 minutes standalone or up to 140 minutes with the Action Pod.
GO Ultra: Uses microSD cards up to 2TB, giving you endless storage flexibility. Battery is significantly upgraded—70 minutes solo, 200 minutes with the Action Pod, and fast charging that reaches 80% in just 12 minutes.
Verdict: For long shoots and expandable storage, the Ultra is unbeatable.

3. Audio Quality & Accessories

GO 3S: Dual microphones and classic modes like Timelapse, FreeFrame, and Interval Video.
GO Ultra: Advanced audio with 48 kHz/32-bit AAC, wind noise reduction, and Mic Air support. It also introduces new magnetic mounts, pendant options, and voice/gesture controls for creators on the move.
Verdict: GO Ultra is designed for professionals who need higher-end audio and mounting flexibility.

4. Size & Weight

GO 3S: Ultra-light, only 39g (camera) and 96g (with Action Pod).
GO Ultra: Slightly bigger at 53g (camera) and 108g (with Pod), but still compact enough to mount anywhere—from helmets to pets.
Verdict: GO 3S is the more feather-light option, but the Ultra is still very portable.

5. Price & Value

GO 3S: Around $319.99 (Standard Bundle).
GO Ultra: Between $449.99–$499.99, depending on the bundle.
Verdict: GO 3S is the budget-friendly choice, while the Ultra is a premium investment for creators who want cutting-edge performance.

Choose the Insta360 GO 3S if you want:

✅ Ultra-lightweight portability
✅ Lower price point
✅ Simple, reliable shooting for casual use

Choose the Insta360 GO Ultra if you need:

✅ Best-in-class 4K60fps video and 50MP photos
✅ Extended battery life & fast charging
✅ Expandable storage and pro-grade audio

Conclusion

Both cameras are exceptional, but your choice comes down to budget vs performance. For casual creators and everyday use, the GO 3S is still a fantastic value. But if you’re serious about vlogging, travel films, or professional-grade content, the GO Ultra offers a massive leap in quality and versatility.

👉 Whether you’re upgrading or buying your first tiny action cam, this Insta360 GO 3S vs GO Ultra comparison shows that the Ultra is the future-proof choice for creators who demand more.

My problem is with misinformation being spread as history. Claiming a temple is 3000 years old without archaeological evidence is misleading. The Indus Valley Civilization, which predates 1000 BCE, had no confirmed temples—this is accepted by mainstream historians and archaeologists alike.

YouTube videos and WhatsApp forwards don’t rewrite history—evidence does. If someone claims a 3000-year-old temple exists, let them show the excavation report, carbon dating, or peer-reviewed study. Blind belief isn't heritage—truth is.

Let’s respect our past by being honest about it, not by inventing it.
