Hello everyone! I want to thank you for your consistent support of all the things I do.
I know we’re a community spread out geographically but I want to tell you all I’ll be returning to live performances next week! If you happen to be around Long Island, New York, it would be lovely to see you! I’ll be playing a 3 hour(!!) set of jazz-infused chillhop for a very cool new community-oriented venue in Port Jefferson, so if you like the jams you might hear interspersed through my videos you’ll probably dig it! Plus the food and drinks will be excellent and locally sourced!
Hi all, I mentioned this sheet a while ago, if you're using partials on the MC-101 (or Zenology Pro or MC-707) this might help you navigate. It breaks them down as well as I could into categories that can make it a lot easier to at least get started if you're overwhelmed scrolling through all 1600+ partials. I have this printed out and taped to the bottom my MC-101. This is a jpeg version, there's an .xlsx version available for free in the Facebook group about MC-101/MC-707 project sharing here www.facebook.com/groups/757669631469614/permalink/…
Or as always if neither of those work and you really want the .xlsx version shoot me an email at bencoemusic@gmail.com and I'll happily send you one (I won't put you on a list because I don't know how to set those up).
Hi everyone! I had the honor of being interviewed on the excellent “kites and strings” a few weeks ago, a podcast that highlights the many different ways people balance their creative outlets with more grounded aspects of their lives. If you’re interested in hearing about my day job, my creative process, or my life in general I highly recommend you check it out! The hosts, Steve and Catherine, are lovely and insightful people and I’m honored to be among their guests.
I really recommend their podcast in general, I find it can be really inspiring for me to hear about how other people balance their creative lives and they’ve had some really impressive people share their lives on the show.
Hi everyone! I have a really exciting video coming in a few days but I’m excited to say my first real release in a long time is officially out! It would mean a lot if you checked it out!
Big thanks to MADHAPPY and Rory Hinkel (www.roryhinkel.com/) for the mixing and mastering, and if you’re interested in how I wrote the whole song on the Roland MC-101, check out my video on it!
