Hello, I am not dead. Long story short, Life kept happening and greatly derailed all my plans constantly. Thankfully, I am now finally working on the podcast editing (three episodes in the pipe line) so stuff is coming. HG101 articles will keep me a bit too busy to do a major video anytime soon, though, plus I've become sort of drained and am trying to figure out a good topic. My original idea doesn't interest me that much post surgery, so I'm considering a few possible topics, maybe a spotlight of obscure or smaller games. Will let you know what I decide on.

Also, since I despise social media and no longer plan to ever use my wordpress blog after the head of wordpress went mad (long story), if you want to read my posts about video games you can now find me on a small fediverse instance over here: goblin.band/@jdarkside

Just a quick update. Recovery from surgery went fine, back at work, and I might have changed my idea for my next topic. We'll see what happens!

I'm home and ready for six weeks of recovery. I'm very tired. Part of my chest is concave now. It's just now hitting me how rough this recovery will be.

Update: I was initially distracted by SWTOR, but then I got pneumonia, had to go to the hospital, and found out in the process that I had a huge growth on a kidney.

Getting surgery to remove the kidney Thursday, then six weeks of recovery at home (after an overnight stay at the hospital). So, that has interrupted video plans.

Thought you should know, and no worries, the surgery is pretty mundane.

Going to start editing podcasts this weekend, three lined up and ready. Had to pull myself away from BG3 and WotR, plus Texas summer is here and has not done wonders from my body (guess who works full time outside). I have the week of the 15th off so that should help.

Still unsure on what the next video project will be. I have Thoughts on a few scattered things but unsure if any of it is enough for one video. I also still need to test if I can get footage of 3D games.

Looking like this monster of a video will finally be up on Sunday or so. I'm editing the final part and that should wrap up Saturday. Expect that podcast I announced, which we're calling Gaming by Chapter, to premiere sometime later soon.
