This is the home to rail and transit videos from around the world. This supports my website transit.com which has over 20,000 transit and railroad images. You will find videos of subways, metros, trams, light rail, and streetcars. Steam and passenger trains are included as well as railroad and trolley museums.

The main features are transit systems and railroads in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Japan.

I changed my outro for 2025. It still has Dylan, but now he is on a caboose at the Railroad Park Resort in Dunsmuir, California. We stayed two nights at the resort over July 4th in 2024, as fireworks are prohibited in the resort, and in the area. He is scared of fireworks.

I hope you have noticed my outro for 2024. It features my dog, Dylan Pickle, in front of a Calgary Transit Light Rail train. Leashed dogs are allowed on Calgary's Trains and Buses. My dog rode a lot of the Calgary system with me. He wishes more transit agencies would allow leashed dogs on their buses and trains. The background music is a JR East Station Departure melody from Japan.

This is a Public Service Announcement in case you find malfunctioning Railroad Crossing lights/gates. Every RR crossing with lights has a control box with a large placard with a phone # to call and a DOT ID #. Please call that number and give the person on the other end the DOT #, or if not visible your location. You can also call that number if a vehicle is stuck at the crossing. 911 is also appropriate, but 800# goes directly to the Railroad, which can alert RR dispatchers faster to stop trains. (911 can do it but it might take another few minutes to figure out which RR to call)

I know I have not published a Talking Transit video in a while, and it might be a bit longer. I have plenty of ideas, just the time to make them. But I have been publishing one long-form video each week along with shorts. This week I published the Holiday Train Show at Grand Central Terminal. This is put on by the New York Transit Museum and is worth a visit.

I have some travel shortly, which should provide a lot of new content for the channel. Where will I be going next for fresh transit-related content?

My latest quiz is focused on monorails and maglevs that I have been to around the world. There is one system in this video that is not a maglev and is not quite a monorail. Can you name it?

Look what is finally publishing on Saturday morning (8/25). Now I like WES; the trip is quick, and the crews are fantastic. But its ridership is low, operating costs are high, and had missteps from before service started many years ago. Today's 45-minute headways do not help. They need to bring back at least 30 minutes to make it useful.

Thank You all! I hit 1000 subscribers today. Expect a Thank You video to hit the feed in the next few days. Followed by a Tourist By Transit to Tacoma Washington.
