Hey there, and welcome to Alexa Alessa's Beauty School! Here, we focus on enhancing beauty both beneath and above the skin.
If you’re looking for motivational content, beauty secrets, or a few laughs from your New York sis, you’re in the right place. I upload new videos every Sunday, sometimes twice weekly.
A little bit about me: I’m Alexa, an Afro-Latina from the Bronx, NY. Growing up as a middle child in a single-parent household, I faced many challenges on my journey to adulthood. My ambitions took me to Manhattan, where I embarked on a decade-long journey of learning and growth. With a delusional level of confidence, I managed to build a successful career in finance and tech, all while living in a luxury apartment in Manhattan and traveling the world.
I’m passionate about creating art with my hands and sharing insights about confidence because I believe beauty starts from within and cannot exist without confidence.

Who am I — and why should you care?”
Well, I’m a retired lover girl. The kind who used to love deeply, blindly… sometimes at the expense of myself.
But that’s not the whole story.
If titles matter to you — I’m an honors student, graduated Cum Laude, born and raised in the Bronx, dirt poor, and still… I built the life little me used to daydream about by the time I hit 30.
The one dream I didn’t check off? Marriage.
And honestly? Thank God.
Because the younger version of me wasn’t ready to make a forever kind of decision — and now? I get to grow, heal, and share it all with you.
So whether you’re here to laugh, cry, learn something, or just vibe… I got you. I’m just a woman in her 30s, soft-launching my single life in NYC, romanticizing everything.
Come for the ride. 💕✨

This video was so fun to make because the take away is makes so much sense IF YOU ARENT A LOVER GIRL. I break down how being NICE isn't right, and how to ask for more out of your relationships by increasing your STANDARDS. Are you settling in your relationships out of comfort or fear? It's time to step into the higher quality connections you deserve. By embracing self-love, knowing your non-negotiables, and practicing detachment, you're inviting a life filled with meaningful partnerships that truly resonate with your soul. Don't shy away from the glow-up journey—it may mean letting go, but it's all part of nurturing a path where you feel seen, safe, and celebrated. Let's elevate our relationships to ones that make our hearts sing every day! 🌟

A hack to dismissing your over apologizing nature is to replace. I’m sorry with thank you. If there is no way to make “thank you” work, then you probably don’t need to apologize.
What is over apologizing in women? 👇
Over-apologizing is often a trauma response, especially for women who were conditioned to believe that their worth is tied to being agreeable, likable, or accommodating. It’s a survival instinct learned from environments where conflict felt unsafe or where their needs were dismissed. But constantly saying “sorry” for taking up space, having boundaries, or expressing emotions diminishes self-confidence and reinforces the idea that they are a burden. True confidence comes from recognizing that you don’t need to apologize for existing as your full, authentic self. You are not too much, you are enough exactly as you are.

There’s a reason I’m relentless when it comes to my self-care, my hobbies, my work, and the way I show up for myself every single day. Even when I feel resistance—when I could easily lay in bed scrolling, I push myself to get up. Because I know the difference between how I feel when I pour into myself versus when I don’t.
Every time I choose my productive hobbies, my beauty rituals, my passions—it elevates me. My energy shifts. My confidence rises. And no matter what negativity tries to creep in, it simply can’t touch me.
Because when you keep upgrading yourself, you become untouchable. You stop feeding the energies that don’t align with the woman you’re becoming. And suddenly, those same people or energies that once drained you? They don’t even have access to you anymore.
Your glow, your peace, your power—it’s yours to protect. And the best part? The more you keep evolving, the less anything or anyone can take from you.
