AZODi K-Pop Songwriting Camp documentary now live!
It’s crazy tbh. One year ago the idea felt like a pipe dream, now it’s finally out!!
The idea came from the in-person meet-ups with the AZODi Discord community over a couple of years. At these meet-ups the question would keep coming up - “So when’s the AZODi K-Pop camp happening then?”
Initially it seemed unrealistic, all the logistics, time, energy and organisation involved. But it kept coming up, so I just went for it and hoped I would figure it out along the way 😂
We had writers fly into Brighton, UK from US, Germany and Australia to attend with mentoring from K-Pop hit writers ARCADES and producer / creator VIBE LAB MUSIC.
A great amount of support and advice from K-Pop publisher, Tim @ Orio Music who really made it happen and the whole team who made the video and camp possible and of course, everyone who attended from the community!
I'll be flying out next month to host a K-Pop songwriting masterclass with my good friend Phil Schwan on the 26th October. If you want to learn more about how to write hit songs, career tips, and exclusive music insights then make sure to attend
. We'll be covering
💥In-Depth Production Walkthroughs
💥Career-Building Tips
💥Interactive Networking and Q&A
💥Live Music feedback
If you aren't a singer, don't disregard yourself as a topliner (songwriter focused on vocals) for K-Pop song pitching!
You can still write great melodies, you just need to team up with a solid singer who can help deliver your ideas.
I prefer it this way as the melody becomes a shared experience between two people, which can lead to more interesting ideas.
When I was writing songs in my band years ago this was the same scenario.
I've never been a good singer but I could still write catchy hooks, melodies and interesting lyrics. It was helpful having less technical vocal ability because it forced me to write the melodies in a very simplistic way.
What has your own experience been like when writing songs?
