I Hosted My First Networking Event!

Last night I hosted the very first CoWorkly Networking Event and it went even better than expected.

The format gave everyone the chance to introduce themselves: who they are, where they’re from, why they’re in Thailand, and a bit about their work. It was a space for us all to practise public speaking and build confidence in front of others.

I had prepared five speakers, but thanks to the support from the team at @hello.homa who helped promote the event with flyers and app notifications - we had even more people step up.

What really stood out was seeing people I hadn’t invited to speak take the courage to stand up in front of a room of strangers and share their story. Many of them weren’t native English speakers, yet they challenged themselves to present in English. That level of courage and determination is inspiring - most people never push themselves that far.

Massive thank you and congratulations to everyoneg who came along and contributed. I’m looking forward to the next event in around four weeks’ time here in Phuket, Thailand.
