No excuses...weeell, except for the fact I was completely obsessed with a knitting project I didn't seem to be capable of putting down! We are currently on our trip back to our home in southern BC, and life has been a bit hectic. But, I felt I wanted to add my condolences to those for the little town of Tumbler Ridge . As a mom of 5 kids and and NanaSue to 6, the thought of having to deal with this is terrifying. My heart aches for the parents and families of these precious children and teacher. No one should ever have to deal with this. That there is evil in our world is well known. When it strikes so close to home, it brings it in to your realm.
My prayers go out for the community so deep in shock and grief. I pray for healing for Maya Gebala and wisdom for her doctors. I pray Maya's family will know the comfort of God's strength as they watch and wait beside her. Amen.

Twas the night before Christmas when all through the cabin, creatures were stirring wanting to go out for a walk! But it's been waaay too cold this past week for walks!! We are in the midst of our 2nd deep freeze of the winter. Normally, we get a day or 2 of extreme cold, but we are now on day 5 of -40C and colder temperatures. It goes down to -49/-50C overnight and we are very thankful for our firewood and wood stoves! The propane stove doesn't work at these temperatures until about noon when the sun finally comes up and warms the tank up a bit! lol!
We just wanted to wish you all a very happy Christmas and everything good in 2026! Take care, stay warm and enjoy the holiday where ever you are!

We have been in a deep freeze here for the last several days! -47C, which is -52.6F! Not much getting done outside for obvious reasons, lol! Just a note, so you have a timeline...the video I'm posting today is from the end of October, so there is about a 1.5 month delay in the actual date and when the video was filmed.
