That means 9% of us at any given time are getting food stamps without earned income. 26% of those 9% have children and 51% are elderly. The average amount of time on food stamps is 1-3 years. People go through job loss, trauma, car accidents, cancer etc To keep people fed when facing adversity, available to all Americans if they ever need it, it cost $123 billion a year to feed millions of people, veterans, children and elderly and those who have experienced job loss but Trump just took $4.5 trillion of out GOP to give himself and the elites a $4.5 trillion tax cut. The food stamps program costs 0.00273333333% of what they just took from the pot for themselves while destroying more small farms and small businesses, driving more middle class people to lower middle class. The middle class has been cut in half since Reagan’s Trickle Down Economy and in 40 years, the wealthy have been able to funnel 95% of our fathers, grandparents, great grandparents wealth that we have built as Americans over the centuries and pain of natives and slaves etc, all that wealth is being hoarded by 1-5% of the people, while we all fight each other for the crumbs and the 1/2 of a slice of pizza that 393 million of us have to share.
