One of the beautiful things about music is the way it can connect people together who may otherwise struggle to communicate. Here, Derek plays with 7 year old musical prodigy Evan Tsang (@EvanTsang-Piano). Derek has taken on something of an elder statesman role in the neurodiverse musical community. His work with young people and children exemplifies the benefits of helping those with special abilities and needs to work together, communicating with one another and supporting each other through music.
Derek will play once again with friends from @theambertrust at @RiverhouseBarn on October 12th. Tickets available here: www.riverhousebarn.co.uk/events/125873?language=en

Derek is continuing to love his work as an ambassador for Trinity College London Press - Starting today he will play through the whole of Trinity's new book, 'A Year in Twelve Keys' by Chris Caine, which features 12 diatonic piano studies, each inspired by a month of the year and written in a unique key.
A wide variety of styles are represented, perfect for expanding your repertoire and improving technical skills; Discover the Musical Theatre flair of ‘January’, the contemporary Classical charm of ‘February’, the French elegance of ‘November’, the pop-inspired ‘August’, and the intricate Fughetta of ‘June’.
Seven of the pieces are also included in the Grade 5-8 Piano syllabus, making them ideal for exam preparation.
Looking to challenge yourself, refine your technique, or add variety to your repertoire? This book is a must-have. Visit store.trinitycollege.com/pages/a-year-in-twelve-ke… for more information and to purchase your copy.
