The Vinyl Shack
Just posting music from my collection and having a little fun with it. I try to post one each week or so.
Some are needle drop recordings made of the album through a A/D converter and digitized.
Other videos are recordings made in front of my speakers with a microphone. I admit that my microphone isn't state of the art by any means, but it's all just for fun.
I realize there are hundreds of people on youtube doing the same exact thing. That is why I try to make my needledrops just a little bit different and add in some video elements.
I don't own the copyrights to the music I post on my channel. That why I'll never be monetized. Hopefully these videos inspire you to explore or purchase the artist's music. My channel is a way to honor these songs and hopefully expose them to a new audience.

Today I lost my longtime listening partner. She always had a habit of photobombing in many of my videos.
Her favorite album was by The Incredible Jimmy Smith titled The Cat.
She also liked the song Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent along with Cat Food by King Crimson.
Pussy Cat Dues, The Cat Walk, Callin' All Cats were also some of her jazz favorites.
She will be missed at the vinyl shack.

Looks like we've reached 1500 subscribers tonight! I want to thank everyone that takes time out of their day to check out my videos. It's the only thing that inspires me to keep posting these. I appreciate all the kind comments that you leave.
I think about half of the subscribers are from my shorts, and half from the long videos. Feel free to check out both sections. You might find something that you really like that is new for you.

It's been a little while since I've posted a video. I've been on a much needed vacation. I spent a couple of days reorganizing my stereo room. Man, I thought I was done moving all these records!
Finally got it back up and running. Still have a few pictures to hang

I've been posting my Tunes and Coffee shorts for several months now. One day soon I'll exhaust my jazz collection. Would you rather I offer up different tracks from the same albums in the near future, or would you rather me venture off to other genres (mainly classic rock)?

It has been a busy week at the vinyl shack. The better half had some health issues that needed to be resolved. Between the hospital and work, I haven't worked on a new video this week. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one up soon.
I may get a Jazz room recording up this week to hold us over.
