We're coming to NYC! Join us for our next Mixing Masterclass on May 8, 2025 in Chelsea, Manhattan.

This is a full-day mix, in-person, where you can watch a professional engineer go through the entire mixing process, start-to-finish, live and unfiltered.

If you’ve ever wondered what’s holding back your own mixes from sounding professional, and you can’t quite achieve the sound in your head but you’re not exactly sure what’s missing…

Then this once of a kind experience is going to give you complete clarity on what steps you might be skipping, and you’ll get to see exactly what it takes to craft a mix that sounds industry-standard.

But that’s just the start. This is also an opportunity to meet and network with local musicians and engineers just like you, hang out for the day and just geek out on mixing and all things audio in an incredible space surrounded by incredible people.

This Mixing Masterclass has been curated to provide a fast and easy way to help you improve the quality of your mixes and make better sounding music. In just one or two days, you’ll make as much progress as months of watching YouTube videos.

Exciting news: we just launched our most affordable mastering program to date!

Introducing Mastering Intensive — A 6-week intensive from Mastering.com that will teach you the foundations of mastering and help you translate your creative vision into reality (plus, no more failed car tests)

It’s no secret that mastering is important to us…

In fact, we think it’s so important that we named the entire company after it!

Why did we do this?

Well, it’s simple… we’ve always believed that learning mastering (and starting with the end in mind), is the most reliable way to consistently get industry-standard mixes.

After all, if you don’t know the destination… how can you really understand the path?

But for a long time, our full mastering programs have been too much of a commitment for a lot of people…. which means countless of you haven’t experienced the magic of a quality mastering education.

Until now.

“Mastering Intensive” is an in-depth mentorship program, designed to teach you the foundations of mastering in less than two months time 🤯

This program consists of 6-weeks of mastering curriculum, covering everything from EQ, compression, limiting, mastering for streaming/vinyl, stereo widening…. everything you need to know to break through the intermediate plateau that you’re stuck at. By the end, you’ll have an in-depth understanding of the objective language of music (volume, frequencies, dynamics). This will completely change the way you think about recording, production and mixing.

Even better, you’ll also get access to three weekly mentorship sessions, where you can get real answers, feedback on your tracks, and hands-on coaching from our team of professional engineers and producers.

This program takes everything we’re known for at Mastering.com (high quality education, direct mentorship, world-class communities), and distills it down into our punchiest, most affordable mastering program yet.

However, Mastering Intensive is cohort-based, which means we’re closing enrollment at the end of the month to start the program. We aren't going to run this program again until early 2026.

Happy mixing & mastering!

The best mixing tip I can give you:

Progress = Work + Reflection

There's no way to get better at mixing if you just watch videos and learn mixing tips.

You need to actually do the work and finish hundreds of tracks if you want to become a true pro.

But there's another part to the equation, and that's reflection—because work alone isn't enough.

Yes, you need to do a lot of work.

But if you just work away in a vacuum and you don't reflect on the work that you did a year ago, two years ago, three years ago... then you're never actually going to learn.

I remember one time I set myself a challenge to finish a hundred mixes over the span of several months.

When I listen back now, a lot of those mixes sound really similar because I was just churning them out.

I didn't take enough time to actually listen to them, reflect, and decide how I needed to improve.

In comparison, I've had single mixes that I've learned a TON from because I shared them with a bunch of people and got feedback.

And I've had mixes where another mix engineer has mixed the same track and I was able to carefully compare the differences.

I learned so much from those single mixes because I was able to reflect more accurately. I was able to more easily identify where my weaknesses were and where I needed to improve.

So don't forget—you need to put in the work, but you also need to take time to reflect and analyze your past work. Only then can you identify how to actually improve.

We're considering making every video more specific to a certain genre or skill level. This would allow us to better help a specific person instead of keeping every video broad.

If we went down this route, would you rather we put everything on this channel, or had different channels for different skills levels or genres?

Regular viewers: what would you like to see more of on the channel? What would you like to see less of?

Any feedback is highly appreciated!
