More than a collection of songs, this album is a deeply personal dedication and a bold artistic statement from a prodigious guitarist at the height of his creative power. Rooted in progressive fingerstyle, Silver Maple showcases Spencer’s signature techniques — intricate percussive elements, cascading harmonics, two-handed tapping, fluid counterpoint, and layered melodic phrasing that allows a single guitar to sound like an entire orchestra.
Drawing influence from prog rock ambition, funk groove, metal intensity, and neo-classical elegance, Spencer expands the boundaries of modern fingerstyle while staying true to its soul.
