Just had an earthquake this morning. It happened around 10am shaking the Northeast from New Jersey to New York City with a 4.8 magnitude earthquake. I was asleep when this happened, and the sound of my computer desk shaking was what woke me up. The shaking lasted for about a few seconds. I was completely safe and unharmed after the quake, and there had been no reports of any injuries throughout the area as of this time. Though this was pretty alarming. Earthquakes in areas like New York are rare, and the last time this happened was around 2011 from Virginia measuring a 5.8 magnitude. So yeah, that was an interesting start to a Friday.
