UPDATE ON DAT LOAD BOARD

DAT load board has been a go-to for many, but they've recently made a change to their sign-up process. Starting now, when signing up for their 30-day free trial, you'll need to use your carrier's (or potential Carrier’s) DOT or MC # to create an account.

What does this mean? If you're an independent dispatcher, you'll now need to have a carrier affiliation to access the free trial. Even if you’re not locked in with the carrier for sure, use that MC# this get signed up & start searching for loads.

From what I’m told, It's a shift that stops an influx of fake accounts & it keeps their free trials in line with industry standards, ensuring the integrity of the platform.

We understand that change can be a curveball, but as dispatchers, we're adaptable by nature. This adjustment might just align with some of your evolving business strategies.

Customer service is A MUST!

Here’s how to provide excellent customer service in your freight dispatching business:

Be responsive: Respond to your carrier (or potential carrier’s) inquiries promptly and professionally. If you can't provide an immediate answer, let them know when they can expect a response.

Communicate clearly: Provide the carriers with clear and timely updates about their shipments, including expected delivery dates and any potential delays or issues.

Address concerns promptly: If a carrier raises an issue or concern, address it promptly and take steps to resolve it as quickly as possible. Take responsibility and don’t make excuses yall.

Go above and beyond: Look for ways to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships. This could include providing additional services or information, offering discounts or promotions, or simply providing friendly and personalized service ( like I’m sure you’re gonna do anyway).

Follow up: After a loads been delivered, especially if your new, follow up with them to ensure that everything went smoothly and ask for feedback. Use this feedback to improve your services and build long-term relationships with your other (or future) carriers.

By following these tips, you can provide dope customer service and build a loyal customer base that will help ensure the long-term success of your business/ relationships!
