Sometimes you forget how much progress you’ve made…..until you take a moment to look back.

I remember how happy I was when I completely painted that first Black Templar. I really struggled with every step too (thinning paints, keeping my hands stable, and trying to not get paint everywhere when working on the eyes). But with each struggle and each mistake there was also a win. With each win I got better.

HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: you will get better too! Progression isn’t immediate but it will reveal itself when you look at where you started.

Also, sorry we haven’t been as consistent with content. You’ll understand why November 5th when we make a special announcement for something we are building to help with your miniature painting journey.

First off, I owe you all an apology for being a little MIA lately. Life has been busy in the best possible way… our baby was just born! I’ll drop a photo of our new BATTLE BROTHER below so you can meet him, and yes, he is already dreaming of purging heretics!

NOW, onto some updates I’m really excited to share:

-Content Direction
We’re slightly shifting our content style to be more of a journey and exploration. Instead of presenting as just “How-To,” we’ll be experimenting and learning alongside you, sharing what works, what doesn’t, and showcasing the LOSSES and the WINS along the way.

-Monthly Study Sessions
We will be holding monthly study sessions in the Discord community to review concepts in more detail.

-Updated Thinning Module
Toward the beginning of September, we’ll release an updated thinning paint module on our website. This version will dive deeper into four key considerations: paint brand, paint color, consistency, and base color when looking to achieve your desired coverage. It will also highlight the different consistencies such as: basing, layering, glazing, etc.

So the first short video I ever did was on a chainsword with glowing green painted teeth. The joke was about Deathwatch members using weapons built from Necron parts (same lore for this power sword and shield . I then see GW releases today and THERE IT IS! A Deathwatch member with a Necron component sword….

LONG VIDEO GUIDES STARTING NEXT WEEK!

Firstly, we apologize for the lack of communication and delay with content. My wife is pregnant with our first on the way (another battle brother) and family responsibilities take priority!

Now on to the good stuff! We will be introducing a cadence of bi-weekly long videos and several short guides. The overall goal is to ramp up and contribute as much as we can.
