Merry Christmas! Usually we would set water out for reindeer and make sure our visitors had a snack when they delivered gifts, but not this year! Liam just brushed his teeth, asked for tips on falling asleep fast, and got into bed?!?! It's a Christmas miracle! lol.
We had a family get together on this eve which also would have been my dad's birthday. He would have been relaxed and happy had he been here. In our hearts he was. Life moves fast, what a whirlwind.
May your home be warm, your tummy full and your thoughts happy.

We have a little gingerbread house contest happening here. One week to decorate, judging based on skill (age based), creativity and originality. So far, two participants. 😆 You guys can help me judge, but here is the beginning! (excuse the mess!) Happy Sunday! Join in if you'd like. *NEWCASTLE SANTA PARADE VIDEO TUESDAY NOVEMBER 18th AT 6:30PM)*
I know I've been slow posting! But t'is the season for all things bright and lights! We've just been to the Newcastle Santa parade, which was awesome! This year had almost 60 (yes 60!) floats and groups. Some favorites like the go carting shriners and the pirate ship with the cannon going off. Lots of lights and happy faces. We really enjoyed it, so thanks again to everyone who makes it so wonderful. It's such a great little (big?!) parade. Do you go to your local parade?
I used to make a day of watching the Toronto parade on TV. I'd sit in my pj's and grab a blanket and just enjoy the whole thing. And then there was the shutdown and it hasn't bounced back with the same broadcast. But this small town parade is just perfect, so I hope you grab your blanket and hot chocolate and join us Tuesday for the video!

My mom braved the cold with us for an extra hour so we could get front row seats!! lol.
