This rat-demon-breed looking dog was my childhood dog, she died 4-5 years ago, I'm only now processing, and since I'm sick and therefore sad right now you get this post
We got her from a lady who was leaving the country and couldn't keep her when she was 2 years old, and it was the best idea my parents had ever had
We named her "shunra" (shoe-nn-ra) for "cat" because she grew up with cats and thought she was one aswell, having beef with any and all dogs and attempting to befriend all cats (to which she got flicked in the face many times)
In 2020 she got sick and my parents took her to the vet, I cried while she was there because it felt like thatbwas my goodbye for her, and it was. My parents picked me and my sisters up and told us in the car that she was taken down at the vet and I cried again, even now writing about her makes me cry.

Finally got out of my art slump by doing something new (the person, I hate doing full face realism) and something not so new (the eyes)
Did these on vacation cuz I didn't feel like doing anything else, though I did crochet a bit. Anyways-
The eye is a bit crooked, but it's just cuz I'm still struggling with angles and until now I've avoided portraits like the plague (I like doing eyes, but the rest of the face is normal a big no)
Got told it kinda resembled one of those greek statues and that's about the highest compliment because I'm a Greek things geek (everything that's considered Greek history or mythology is right up my alley)
So I'm rereading percy Jackson (as one does), and grover was NOT trying to hide anything😭
Percy got punished by Ms Dodds to write something on the board until midnight, and complained to grover saying that she's inhuman/a monster (I don't read it in English, translation) and grover, straight faced and completely serious says percy is right
Damn, he really knew percy was dense. I spent like half an hour laughing at the first two-three chapters cuz of percy being absolutely clueless and grover BARELY trying to hide anything. I love them so much

Did I accidentally give her a baby face and frog smile? Yes. (Crying because I only learned gore-based anatomy)
Also made her in the middle of class so I didn't have reference, so sorry about the many inaccuracies I'm positive there are
Anyways, enough excuses for me and I really do hope she isn't TOO bad.
