I don't make videos anymore. I just watch and comment on random videos, occasionally adding videos to playlists.
I tend to be an obnoxious grumbling cynic and be rather blunt at times. I'm tired of clickbait slop and certain video tropes that hinder or ruin the experience for me.

Just to give the post a little flair; here's a random photo of a Sonic Movie 3 cup I bought at the theater when seeing that movie for the second time.π

Happy New Year 2025, everybody!π₯³ππ
2024 was a serious toll on my sanity. From enduring 10 whole painful months without news on PokΓ©mon Legends: Z-A to ending the year off with the awesome Sonic Movie 3.

Hey. Been a while.
Been thinking of changing my display name and/or username. Had this one for a looooonnng time and since my interest in Plants vs. Zombies has long since faded, I figure it's time for a change.
So far just considering going back to my OG username SegaMario or sticking with my Roblox username since that's where most of my recognition stems from. Or just something completely new to kinda start fresh.
What do you think?

I haven't been feeling well this past month.
I've come down with anxiety that just won't leave my mind - some days it's minimal, other days it's bad, and no amount of exercise or watching/listening of soothing YouTube content is helping me completely forget about it. I've told three people about my case, one of which being a doctor, and they assure what I've been doing for years is fine. Some days have left me sleep-deprived and with an upset stomach.
I'm likely just overthinking things, but I'm still so scared that what I fear might come to pass despite how tight-lipped I am on most things.

Do you ever get the feeling one day of finally doing something you've been meaning to do for a while? Years, even?
That was me early this morning - I dusted the bottom half of the table that my TV sits on, alongside dusting down my Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch.
But most of all, I finally brought out my old, original Xbox One and did a Factory Reset on it...after some agonizing time getting the thing to update. Now I can hopefully sell it one day, especially towards a new console, be it an Xbox Series X or the Switch's successor.
Feels good having finally done it. And for the past couple of months, I've been completing unfinished post-game stuff on my old PokΓ©mon games. It's a great feeling, despite how tedious the grind is in Generations 1-4.
If you've been meaning to do something akin to what I've done, just do it! And when you're in the process of doing it, you might just feel determined enough to finish the job. You'd really feel much better if you do!

Man, how time flies...it has been 10 Years since Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 was released!
This was the game that got me into the beloved series, which was only five years old at the time. It was a truly unique game, being a third-person shooter for a franchise where having a shooter game would be the last genre you'd expect them to tackle, yet here we are. And it worked so well! It was an unbalanced mess, no surprise there with the asymmetrical teams, but there was still fun to be had if you knew how to play the game.
I hopped on to play a few matches for old time's sake, and, unsurprisingly, I got DESTROYED in most matches. My suckage, coupled with bad ping and being up against those who've been playing the game religiously for years on end - one player was even Max Rank.
Despite that, I smiled at this little trip down memory lane. A criminally underrated shooter that deserved so much more love since outside of the series' 2009 hit game, the franchise is pretty much obscure to the general public. Whenever you say "Plants vs. Zombies", they only acknowledge the 2009 tower defense game and nothing else as they likely don't even know there are games beyond just that one.
Garden Warfare 1 went on to garner a sequel two years later, in which a certain new Plant's debut in that game inspired yours truly's current online moniker. And after that, a controversial, debatable(?) "sequel" came out in 2019, which sadly did not last long as many fans hated it for the radical changes it made to the formula - me personally, while I agree where they were coming from, I still enjoyed it and made do with what we had. I was deeply saddened when content support was cut off for it back in September 2020...and since then, the franchise has been put in a very awful spot.
A bittersweet note to end this post on, but...that's how it is in this dog-eat-dog world. I would give ANYTHING to have a new PvZ Shooter game to play, especially with competent developers behind it making great balance changes on top of adding occasional content. But alas, I believe the PvZ Shooter series...is truly dead. Only diehard fans, occasional new players and the Garden Warfare 2 modding scene are keeping its spirit alive.

Happy New Year, everybody!π₯³ππ
With 2023 now over, I can finally take down the 15th Anniversary Banner - I still can't get over the fact my account is/was as old as the Sonic franchise was when the infamous Sonic '06 came out - speaking of that, I did recently look at a couple of videos of Project '06 which, for those who don't know, is a fan remake (despite using assets from '06, I'm pretty sure putting it all together was all done from the ground up) that goes above and beyond making the original '06 into what it could've been and so much more...it's a true work of art that deserves a look! A prime example of fans with scope, vision and passion, something SEGA/Sonic Team lacks in most of the time these days.
...yeah, sorry to end that on an obnoxious cynical doomposter-like remark, but that's just how I've seen the Sonic franchise mostly since Forces - there's still some good stuff here and there, especially the movies, but...man, I'm sorry, but SEGA/Sonic Team really step their game up. There's countless talented fans I wish would be hired and have high authority over whatever Sonic-related projects they're working on.
Thanks to Clay Truck Works for this brilliant TVS Big City Engine model and dedicating its release to me!
I wasn't expecting a release dedicated to me, but it seems they knew my love for what if Gordon Goes Foreign did end up getting adapted for TV and dedicated the model's release to me! I'm honoured! The year's already started off great! And here's hoping that momentum keeps up!
