🚨DV-2026 BREAKING UPDATE: Judge Approves October 14–23 VISA Processing Window

Judge Edward Davila has approved the new DV-2026 additional processing window in the Medani case.

The court-approved period runs from October 14, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. through October 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., based on the local time of the embassy or consulate handling the application.

The court also clarified that applications include successfully submitted DS-260 immigrant visa applications, which may be important for some DV-2026 selectees who submitted DS-260s but never received interview appointments.

Important reminder: The judge approved an additional DV-2026 processing window from October 14 to October 23, but this does not guarantee an interview or visa. Applicants still need to qualify and follow embassy instructions. Check your email, spam folder, phone, medical validity, financial/public charge documents, and official DV Entrant Status Check.

🚨 DV-2026 UPDATE: HAS THE 10-DAY PROCESSING WINDOW MOVED TO OCTOBER 14?

There are reports circulating that the additional 10 days of DV-2026 processing may have been pushed from October 11 to October 14.

Here is what I can verify:

✅ Judge Edward Davila granted 10 additional days of State Department processing for covered Medani applicants.

✅ The government then received a temporary stay so it could prepare the technical system and consular guidance.

✅ October 11 falls on a Sunday, and October 12 is a federal holiday, so there is now a timing question about when the 10 usable processing days actually begin.

⚠️ However, as of this update, I have not found a court order from Judge Davila officially changing the start date to October 14.

So for now, I would treat the October 14 date as unconfirmed until we see either a new court order or formal State Department guidance.

Also, do not confuse this with the separate DV-2027 case, where Judge Jinsook Ohta is expected to issue a ruling by October 14.

I’ll update you as soon as the Medani court clarifies the actual start date.
