Back Waters and Back Roads

Howdy! Fellow adventurers. Figured its been a minute since we checked in...

We dropped the Beagle Barge in the river for a few weeks, before heading south in October. The plan is still to drop in toward the top of the Arkansas River...

I picked some puff ball mushrooms yesterday (yes I checked to make sure they aren't the poisonous mimics) and added them to a crock pot chicken dish... hoping it lasts the whole week...

We have a new batch of Shallow Drafters flags, tshirts and sweatshirts if you're interested. Either find us on FB (The Shallow Drafters Shanty Boat Club) or email me (I include my email in the description of every video)...

I'm working on Ep:2 of "The Moonlander Beagle Build" for this week, and finishing up a little two-wheeled adventure video for the back-up channel (Brenton's Riverside Hermitage)...

Howdy! Fellow adventurers. Wavey and I are taking this week off, we've been traveling all over the south for the past couple of weeks--and we are beat...

Picture: 1 Some nice folks took a rare non-POV picture of the Beagle Barge for us while passing through one of the Erie Canal locks--thank you!...

Picture: 2 We picked up a dirt cheap Bayliner Explorer with an outboard bracket (rare!) for future adventures. We probably won't get to that one until next summer... ;)

Picture:3 The 1st annual Shanty Boat Rendezvous was so much fun! We met so many cool people. If the first one was this much success, the next one is going to be even bigger and better... ;)

Wavey discovered minnows last summer and now that's all she wants to do. Beagles are crazy! Well at least Wavey is... ;)

Thanks everyone for continuing to hang around our channel. This is more/less all we do, so it sure is nice to have company out here... ;)

Howdy! Fellow adventurers. Wavey and I will be back in the water today. I did a little late night maintenance while on the trailer (lower case oil and prop.) This is the exact spot we paused on the Great Loop a year and a half ago. The weather is slowly warming up, we have all the time in the world to deep dive into the East Coast. Howdy! Fellow adventurers...checking in. Wavey and I (and Chad on the Outlaw Shanty) are in Grand Rivers for a couple of days. We had to break some more ice to reach the dock...the beagle had to pee :)

We'll be moving back over to Oriental, NC this weekend, to start staging for the East Coast ICW and to finish the Great Loop proper...

I hope y'all enjoyed these Great Rivers side quests...I might have one more Cumberland episode for you...

Howdy! Fellow adventurers. We're riding the storm out, as the song says. We anchored out in Clarksville, TN away from anything that might fall or collapse...

We woke up to some terrible news, some of the docks at Birdsong collapsed under the weight (yes, the same ones we and Chad and many others were/are parked) it sounds like Chillaxn's shanty was crushed :( ...

The best place to find out more about that is on the Waterbug channel...

I'm working on a video now, all is well here Thank God, and the little wood stove is keeping us warm...
