I’ve been writing some longer form pieces on substack for a little while now, it was an idea from Connie and I’m grateful for it. As much as anything, it’s a space to sit down and remember things. Try and make them make sense. This week I wrote about Robert Wyatt and Coleridge and how they helped me and gave me grounds to write a song which will come out soon. I’m going to keep writing on there, if you were looking for something to focus the mind on for a few minutes and to escape the endless mindless roll of it all. I've been working with Braulio Amado for years. One of the most creative minds I've encountered on this rotating rock we call home. A lot of the record was engaged with attempting to embrace the temporary nature of things. Braulio took that animating principle and animated with it in mind.
