Every time I pick up a guitar, I think of my wife, Natasha. She’s the reason behind almost everything I do in this life.

After her cancer diagnosis, I found it almost impossible to write. Songwriting has always been my way of making sense of the world, and when the person who inspires everything I do was facing something so unimaginable, i thought i’d never write again.

Five months later, I decided to pick up a guitar again and found the strength to write this song.

‘Caterpillar’ is about the kind of change you can’t control—paired with the reassurance that, somehow, things can and will get better.

It is my song for her & for anyone else who needs to hear that things will be okay
