My husband often asks me...

"If you're so tired and complaining, why do you stay on the phone until 1am?"

Because, even for a few hours, I can forget the hundreds of times I hear "mom" and I focus on something else. Because, during those moments, I feel like I have a life beyond motherhood and housework.

When the kids fall asleep, I feel a deep emptiness. That's when I want to turn off my brain with a series or a video that takes me out of "mom" and "housewife" mode, just for a moment.

I don't regret motherhood or taking care of my children and the house. But sometimes, I feel like I'm losing myself. These stolen hours allow me to find myself, to feel lighter and to remember who I was.

Sleeping a few more hours won’t take away this fatigue, because it’s also emotional, mental and psychological.

Being a mother and running a home is both wonderful and exhausting. When a mother complains, it’s not that she wants to give up everything; she’s simply exhausted. Let’s be united, listen and support those who need it. Sometimes, all it takes is a listening ear for her to find the energy to continue.

Remember, the one who takes care of everyone also needs to be taken care of. ❤️

ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು "ನೀನೇನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀಯೆ, ಗಂಡೋ ? ಹೆಣ್ಣೋ ?" ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಳು.

ಗಂಡ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು : ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಗಂಡು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗಣಿತ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಜೊತೆಗಾರನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಪೂಜೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಹೇಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಹೆಂಡತಿ ನಸುನಗುತ್ತಾ "ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡುವೆ ? ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದಳು.

ಗಂಡ ಮುಗುಳ್ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೇಳಿದನು : ಹೆಣ್ಣಾದರೆ ನಾನು ಆ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುವುದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಮಗುವೇ ನನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೇಗೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ? ಹೇಗೆ ಉಣ್ಣಬೇಕು ? ನಡೆ ನುಡಿ ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕು ? ಬಹುಬೇಗ
ನನಗವಳು ಎರಡನೇ ಅಮ್ಮನಾಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ನಾನೇನೂ ಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಳು ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೀರೋ ತರಹ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ನಾನೇನೂ ಹೇಳದಿದ್ದರೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಭಾವಿ ಗಂಡ ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ವಯಸ್ಸಾಯಿತು ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅವಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರಿ. ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವಳು ಹೋರಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಯಿಸಿದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವಳು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ಗಂಡನ ಉತ್ತರದಿಂದ ತಬ್ಬಿಬ್ಬುಗೊಂಡ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಕೇಳಿದಳು: ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಮಗ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರ್ಥವೇ ?

ಗಂಡ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು: ಇಲ್ಲ ಇಲ್ಲ ! ನನ್ನ ಮಗ ಕೂಡಾ ಇವೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಇದನ್ನು ಅವನು ಬದುಕಿನುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಗು ಜನ್ಮಜಾತವಾದ ಗುಣಗಳಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಗುವಿನ ತಂದೆಯಾಗುವುದೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಗಂಡಿಗೊಂದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ.

ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನುಡಿದಳು: ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸರಿ ! ಆದರೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಗು ಯಾವತ್ತಿಗೂ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಳು.

ಗಂಡ ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ನುಡಿದನು: ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ನಿಜ.
ಆದರೆ ಅವಳು ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಹೋದರೂ ಅವಳ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ ! ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಗುವೆಂದರೆ ದೇವತೆಯರು. ಅವರು ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಲೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇಷರತ್ತಾದ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಕಾಳಜಿಯನ್ನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
