Hey Guys! Life update: Failed Network+ miserably 🤣, regrouped, studied for Security+ and passed (officially Security+ certified, this also renewed my A+). I’m also back into EdTech. Tech or not, always retrain and go out of your way to expand your knowledge. What is in demand today could be automated, outdated, or outsourced tomorrow. Tech is not for the weak as there is constantly something new down the pipeline. You are on the job even when you clock out. Do not allow skills to expire!

Hi everyone 👋🏾

I know I have been a little sporadic as far as my channel but I just wanted to come with some updates.

Last week was my tech anniversary. It’s officially been one year I’ve been actively working in the industry of my dreams. I’ve been through so much to get to this point and honestly it is amazing how far I have come and it is proof that you all can do it too.

I am doing a show on this soon and wanted to open the floor for any questions you guys might have. You can comment below and I will answer them all to the best of my ability on the livestream.

Also, many subscribers have been sending love since I did a video on my layoff. First of all I want to thank you. Being a creator in this space I don’t feel right speaking on things I am not ACTIVELY doing, so knowing I had you support meant so much. 🤎

It has been awhile but I do have a positive update on that. I am employed again! And it’s a bit different from my first job as I am not supporting an application rather than hardware. (It is very important to diversify the work you do in tech when first starting out 😉)

Lastly I am working on a rebrand, the direction on the channel has evolved and it is time for the brand to do the same. I will still be @brownskinnedgurls on Instagram but the channel name and layout will change, I will announce when it is official.

Thank you all for the continued support, interest, prayers, words of encouragement, all of it! This started on a whim after loads of people I looked up to suggested it. I finally see the vision they see…
