In Stillness
Soon my feet were submerged in cold clear water. All it took, one moonless rainy night and a deep slumber and I was on a water bed.
We often underestimate the power of stillness and silence.
The water moved in silence flooding every nook and corner, nothing spared.
Quiet is sturdy.
Silence more powerful than the noise.
Quietness is dependable.
You can trust in the still small voice.
The whisper that says, "God is more than enough."
Let the silence in your heart drown the noise outside.
Let your heart rest in God's peace.
Whether hell breaks open or the devils run mad, God is in contol and He is sovereign.

What if... Even if!
How many of these have you whispered to yourself lately?
WHAT IF no one would listen, EVEN IF no one does, I'd do it any way.
WHAT IF I fail, EVEN IF, I'd try it anyway.
WHAT IF everything goes wrong, EVEN IF it does, I'd give it a chance any way.
WHAT IF they say No, EVEN IF they say, I'd try elsewhere any way.
WHAT IF my application gets rejected again, EVEN IF it does, I'd try it differently.
WHAT IF I embarrass myself, EVEN IF, there's only one way to find out, I'd do it any way.
WHAT IF my prayers don't get answered, EVEN IF I'd trust God and I'd keep praying any way.
WHAT IF the results fail, EVEN IF, I'd keep my praises high.
When your "what ifs" become louder than, sing a different song, "EVEN IF".

Every roll, comes with clenched fists, hungry eyes, painful wait to see the outcome.
Would it be sixes or ones?
Would the player win or lose?
The fatal end of the players hope will fall on low numbers.
Every gambler silent prayer be;
"Cursed be the dice that ever so roll low numbers and worse be the player fated by its curse."
One winner walks away leaving the rest in sheer defeat.
I am thankful I don't live a life fated to dice.
I am thankful I am not rolled by the dice nor poured out like water.
Not hanging on mere luck of the double sixes.
I live an entrusted life, a life pre-destinated by the Author not subject to the luck of the dice.
My times are not in my hands neither are they subject to the shaky hands, wasteful wishes and vigorous juggle of the dices.
My times and seasons are His alone.
I live an entrusted life.

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

For a Gold Coin
Lightened by sleep, Tanu turned and tossed. An unpleasant encounter with a suited young man, well polished made her question herself.
He spoke highly of her expertise. Flattered by his admiration of her talents, she eased into the conversation.
She thought, "This might be my big break in the Industry."
The discourse spiralled into a different directions.
"Would like the fame and glory your mates have. I can put you on the charts in less than a six months. You'd become the most sought after."
A hysterical laugh followed by a scoff... "It is God's work, if He is not, then I'd rather go to sleep."
Quietly, he faded into the mist of the night.
Tanu was surprised by her reflexes. She wondered why and how she very quickly dismissed him. She never asked him his bargaining piece.
Could it be that many others had traded with the suited man?
Could this peace be traded for a coin of gold?
"What's a soul worth; I'd never give up my gifts for a shiny gold coin," she whispered under her breath.
Pulling the covers over herself, Tanu slept off.
Like Tanu, we make these choices everyday.
Like Tanu, I ask you
What's your soul worth?

Awakened by the rumble in her belly, Kita turned to the beach side, watching steadily as the waves crashed on the rocks. Although it felt like a decade, it has been two days she left home.
How could she forgive herself?
Who would want a lost, selfish daughter like him?
She wallowed in disgust for her own behaviour.
Her sin, selfish; her offence, pride of foolish things; consequence, a possible severance from family ties.
"I cannot go home", she muttered over and over again.
She's weighed on a scale and falls short.
She thought, "No one would look for me here."
Shrouded in a blanket of darkness hung over her thoughts, simmering in her tears.
Kita lay facing the morning sun.
Every ray, hope. Soon gentle peace swept over her soul. Incomprehensible peace.
Her father stood arms wide open waiting for her to run back to him.
She saw him in the sun.
He watched over her.
His eyes watching patiently.
He never left.
Like Kita, home calls for us.
The unconditional love of God for times when we fail.
Today, I reminiscence on 'first love' and 'going home'.
Revelation 2:4 and Luke 15:18
Are you lost and lonely?
Are wincing in pain of remorse regret and rejection?
Do you feel unlovable?
Our Heavenly Father never stops loving us. There's balm in Gilead.
With hearts seeking the Father in true worship and bowing before his throne of mercy, Lord let your tender mercies draw me near. Heal my soul and bind me together in your love in Jesus' name.

The concept of time can be explained in many ways as opportunity, a waiting season, a fulfilling event, a finite change etc.
Although we experience time differently at different seasons, we understand that time is finite and fleeting.

I can't begin to tell you how powerful prayers are whether in faith, family, parenting, marriage etc, prayer changes situations.
