An AI-generated dialogue exploring The Geneva Learning Foundation’s progress in 2024

This experimental AI-generated podcast demonstrates a novel approach to exploring complex learning concepts through structured dialogue. Based on TGLF’s 2024 end-of-year message and supplementary materials, the conversation examines their peer learning model through a combination of concrete examples and theoretical reflection. The dialogue format enables exploration of how knowledge emerges through structured interaction, even in AI-generated content.

🎧 In the topography of global health, theory and practice often inhabit separate worlds. Our new AI-generated Deep Dive podcast examines Donald Schön's seminal framework on this divide - and why it matters for health systems transformation.

This AI-generated podcast is a discussion of Reda Sadki's article: redasadki.me/2024/12/14/knowi...

📚 This experimental audio format aims to translate complex theoretical insights into accessible dialogue, exploring:
The 'high ground vs. swamp' metaphor in contemporary health challenges
How COVID-19 exposed fundamental gaps between research and practice
Why traditional knowledge transfer models fall short
The emerging role of peer learning networks in bridging divides

🔍 This podcast format demonstrates how AI-enabled content can:
Make theoretical frameworks accessible to practitioners
Bridge formal and experiential knowledge
Scale education efforts across geographic and institutional boundaries
Enable new forms of engagement with critical health systems concepts

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on our remarkable global community of learners, leaders, and doers in 137 countries.

When health workers share not just what they know, but how they’re applying that knowledge to solve real problems, something remarkable emerges – collective intelligence that’s both practical and profound.

But what makes these connections truly transformative isn’t just their scale or reach – it’s how they fundamentally change what’s possible in global health.

Consider a few of the highlights of what we did together in 2024.

While we know this is a difficult time for many colleagues, particularly those serving communities affected by crisis and conflict, we hope you can find moments of peace and connection.

We deeply appreciate your commitment to learning and leading change.

Together, we are showing that new ways of learning and connecting can strengthen health and hope in communities worldwide.

More than that, we’re demonstrating that when we rethink how learning happens, we can unlock unprecedented possibilities for positive change.

Wishing you renewed energy and inspiration for the journey ahead.

# What are the benefits of the Immunization Collaborative?
www.learning.foundation/nigeria

## Participants highlight learning from peers, developing critical thinking skills, and receiving feedback as top reasons to join

Four immediate benefits of participating in the rigorous day-by-day exercise:
1. Gain practical skills
2. Learn from your peers
3. Receive feedback
4. Develop critical thinking skills

Participants share their reasons for choosing specific benefits:
- Usman Mamatukuru on receiving feedback:
"In getting feedback, you know that his experience is it on the right track. And if it is on the right track, another colleague will add another value or will make a correction so that he can adjust and correct his experience based on the previous experience he has."

- Anonymous participant on developing critical thinking skills:
"By the time when you get to experience other people, it develops your critical thinking and you know that okay, this level that you are as a person or as a professional, there is always room for improvement and you can actually develop your critical thinking skills."

The collaborative offers long-term career impact, real-world solutions, and an investment in professional growth and the health of Nigerian children.

The Geneva Learning Foundation

On March 18, 2024, the Geneva Learning Foundation hosted a unique virtual workshop bringing together 553 health workers from 55 countries with Fellow of Photography and award-winning photographer Chris de Bode. The dialogue focused on unleashing the power of visual storytelling to communicate the impacts of climate change on health in communities around the world.

Chris guided participants on the psychology and ethics of photography, the power of light, and how to create compelling visual narratives. He challenged the idea that photos must be candid to be authentic. “A picture is always subjective. It’s your position as a photographer who decides which picture you take and what you want to tell with the image. When I take portraits of people, I stage, and I always stage.”
