According to Haechan, he has been diagnosed with a vocal cord cyst.

During his Weverse live, he explained that his vocal cord issues began last November. At the time, he developed a vocal cord polyp—a blister-like growth that affected the vibration of his vocal cords and made his condition worse.

He shared that in some content, he avoided speaking because he had to undergo injections, where specialists used an endoscope to reach his vocal cords. The treatment would temporarily help, but the problem kept returning each time he used his voice.

Despite this, he pushed through the tour because he really wanted to perform. However, solo recordings placed an even greater strain on his voice.

After discussing with the company, the plan is for him to take an extended break—avoiding both singing and speaking—to receive another injection, undergo vocal therapy, and retrain his voice. The recovery is expected to take about six months. Once healed, he hopes to release his second solo album as a full album and even go on a solo tour.

Wishing Haechan a full recovery. May his rest and treatment bring him back stronger than ever.
