Before taking my first cruise, I had no idea where to start. I had very little knowledge of the industry overall, and I had no idea 'how to cruise'. One thing was clear - there were so many things that could go wrong.
As soon as I boarded my first cruise ship, I knew immediately that this was a way to see the world that I believed in, and then my YouTube channel was born.
Here at 'Fraser at Sea', I want to use my channel to help you to plan and have the best cruise possible. I share with you my cruise and travel tips, take you away with me in my vlogs, and aim to hopefully immerse you in the experiences as we go.

The third port of call for us on this cruise was St. John’s, and today was the day that ‘finding a typical Caribbean beach’ was the mission. 👀

Our Cruise Director actually recommended one to us, and if you move through these photos, you’ll see it for yourself. This is Fort James beach, and it was absolutely stunning. 🤩

This place absolutely fulfilled every hope of an Eastern Caribbean beach - isn’t it just picture postcard material?! The best part was that there were SO few other people on the beach - an experience I didn’t expect to have just a 10-minute taxi ride away from the cruise port! 🤯

St. Thomas! ☀️ 🌊

Welcome to our second port of call on this 12-night cruise onboard Koningsdam. St. Thomas is a place that I’ve seen in brochures and magazines for years, and so I was really excited to get to visit there on this trip. 😃
.
Here are some photos of how I’ve spent the day - I took the St. Thomas Skyride up to the top of one of the hills for an incredible view across the bay (where I also enjoyed some fantastic nachos…), and then walked into town along the promenade. I can’t believe how much wildlife I spotted in the water today - more on that soon! 👀 😮

San Juan, Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷

I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this port of call, but WOW did it deliver! 🤩 I spent the day exploring the 2 historic forts, and also wandering around the Old Town, and it was all just SO picturesque! I feel like it was one of those days that I just couldn’t put my camera down… 📸 😂

As we docked in San Juan this morning, we were treated to a close-up view of Royal Caribbean’s HUGE Oasis of the Seas. I could honestly stand and look at views like this for hours without getting bored - these ships just blow my mind! 🤯

Here’s my cabin for this cruise! 👀 I’m staying in a ‘Verandah Stateroom’, which is what Holland America Line calls what you might know as a ‘Balcony Cabin’, on Deck 8 of the ship. 🛳️

I’m absolutely LOVING this stateroom so far - as you know, I don’t always cruise with my own balcony, so it’s proving to be SUCH a luxury to wake up and be able to step outside to admire the view. 🤩

It’s one of the smaller balcony cabins I’ve cruised in, but it’s got so much storage in it - look at all of the cupboards and drawers over by the entrance to the room! 👀

I’d usually post a picture of me WITH my cruise ship on Day 1, but I arrived at the Cruise Terminal to torrential rain, so it’s just a photo of the ship today…! 😂

I’m going to be spending the next 12 nights onboard Koningsdam, one of the Pinnacle Class cruise ships from Holland America Line, for an itinerary that I’ve been so excited about for AGES! 👏🏼 This is an Eastern Caribbean cruise, and all of the ports (except one) are brand new for me, so it’s going to be quite the adventure! 😃

I’m in Miami, Florida! ☀️ 🌴

Later today, I’m boarding a cruise ship up in Fort Lauderdale, which is about an hour away from Miami. When you cruise from there, you can stay in either city, but I always opt for Miami - I just think it’s SUCH a fun city, and it delivers every time. That said, it’s currently ‘Spring Break’ here, which has meant it’s been BUSY! 🤯
