I recently stayed at a new hotel that I've never stayed at before in Miami (South Beach), and was really impressed. 🙂 This hotel seems to have acquired three other properties, and created a really modern and well-equipped resort right in the heart of one of the most prime areas of Miami - it's been so well executed! 👏🏼

If you're looking for somewhere to stay during your future Miami trips, I'd really recommend giving this place your consideration. Sure, it's not the cheapest in the city, but the quality really is there for the prices that they're charging (in my opinion, anyway). 👌🏼

We tried Palomar, one of the newer venues from Norwegian Cruise Line, while cruising onboard Luna last week. 🧐🛳️
.
This venue promises to bring Mediterranean flavours to your plate, and we were really impressed to be honest. To dine here, it'll cost you $60pp, or you can use one of your 'Free at Sea' meals if you've purchased that package for your cruise (we did). 🙂

Our final port of call on this cruise onboard Norwegian Luna was Great Stirrup Cay, the private island in the Bahamas owned by Norwegian Cruise Line. 🇧🇸🏝
.
Before this, I'd only visited one other cruise line-owned private island (Half Moon Cay), so I was intrigued to see how this one would compare. Great Stirrup Cay does feel MUCH more commercial than Half Moon Cay used to, but both islands are currently undergoing huge renovations and upgrade programmes, so I think both are going to feel really commercialised when all of that's complete... 🙃
.
This isn't a bad thing - I think it's great to see the cruise lines investing so heavily in these experiences, as they offer cruisers something that the other ports simply can't. I'm excited to return here to see what it looks like when all of the works have been completed, and the cranes and construction vehicles removed. 👀
.
While Great Stirrup Cay does already feel more like a huge premium resort rather than a secluded island retreat, it still gets a big 'thumbs up' from me. I wonder which private island will be next for me...! 🙄😉
