I’ve recently began forging KING ALFRED’S SWORD!
And I’m kinda lost 😞
I’m not sure exactly how to grind the bevels/fuller, so I’d appreciate any advice you guys have.
Also, do you know of any cheap quench tank options for this?

I got bad news.

The other day I was fixing one of my hammers (it needed a new handle).

BUT I SLIPPED WITH THE WHITTLING KNIFE, and let’s just say it was REALLY sharp.

I cut my hand wide open.

So NO FORGING for AT LEAST A WEEK.

Sigh 😔

Just began the process of making damascus for the first time! (I’m kinda scared, honestly)

My plan is to make KING ALFRED’S SWORD from this damascus for my favorite podcasters. This picture of King Alfred is their business’s logo, so I thought, “Why not forge them a sword?”

This is probably kinda dumb, considering that I’ve never made anything out of damascus.

BUT LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!

Should I go through with this plan, or try something easier?
