Though commonly used in casual conversations, the story of the "Good Samaritan" conveys more than just simply being good to those who are in need and prompting comparison of oneself in contrast to "church people" who chooses to ignore.
Dili ta mag focus anang nga mga common teachings kay that causes division which is not our objective diri's LF; rather diri ta:
1. Our Neighbors are the least people we expect to be.
Though not mentioned in the scriptures that the beaten man was a Jew, a geographic clue in the context was the road he took from Jerusalem to Jericho (Luke 10:30). It was 17 mile-road taken by Jews on a regular basis and is well known to be infested by robbers.
During that time, the Jews and the Samaritans were in a strained cultural relationship. Many Jews considered Samaritans to be impure due to a difference in religious and political views; yet the one who poured compassion on the run-down Jew was a Samaritan despite their cultural enmity.
2. Helping people takes a piece of yourself.
In Luke 10:34, scriptures note that the Samaritan took out his bandages, his oil and wine, to tend the man. He lifted the him to his own beast, brought him to an inn, paid the bill as well as the upcoming bills until the man gets better.
Tending to the needy takes bits and pieces of you. Time, money, attention, patience, sometimes, helping even demands giving a half of yourself. That is why serving comes in countless ways not limited within the walls of church buildings.
So if you think alanganin ka nga Christian kay di ka kabalo mu wali, kanta, basa'g Bibliya, o unsa pana diha, offer yourself to the Lord, and He will use you to services you've never imagined to be a part of.
Ay lag pamili kay kay Samaritan man ta, di man ta Pharisee o Levites. 😅
3. Taking on the perspective of a church or a representative of a church—Disclaimer: di ko priest nor pastor or an employee that manages a church. My opinions are from a perspective of a person who only attends church—let us be careful ani atong pagka "pinili".
Let us ask questions like:
"Ang ako bang pagka-'pinili' prompts me to exclude myself from those who we do not deem as 'pinili'?"
"Our asset as a church, such as Sabbath-keeping, observance of the Biblical diet, and an ample amount of scripture understanding, does it produce correlation? Or causes division?"
"Ang ato bang faithfulness to the Law inspires others to know, learn, and love God? Or do we weaponize our obedience to increase our numbers?"
Sakit siguro sa Iyahang dughan, but if that's what it would take to get you closer to each other, to get you to know Him, and for Him to eventually tell you to trust Him—"Klein, naa ko, salig lang...", then with a heavy heart He will do it.
But on the other hand, sometimes, we just leave Him with no choice. 😅
(Dungol na kaayo ka ha) 😂
I don't know if sa local churches lang ba ni gahitabo or unsa; but this issue is not only limited to the aforementioned because this is also common to families and friends.
Dili nako mustorya too much on this matter. I just hope nga this right here is enough to teach what others do not understand.

I'll just leave these here.

A gentle reminder for me, kay ako ne.
Kita tanan have been washed by the Blood and have been clothed by his grace and righteousness.
Ayaw paminawa ang mga hunghong sa kaaway nga dili ka takus nga mudawat sa kaluoy ug kaluwasan nga gi tagana sa Dios.
Remember, the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.
