My new book, The Gallows of Anger: How Anger, Pride, and Revenge Destroy the Man They Rule, is now available on Kindle, Paperback, and Audible.
Using the book of Esther, this study looks at what happens when anger moves beyond an emotion and begins to rule the heart. Haman had wealth, position, influence, and recognition, yet one man who would not bow became larger in his mind than every blessing he possessed. His anger became resentment. Resentment became obsession. Obsession became revenge.
And the gallows he built for another man became the instrument of his own destruction.
This book examines anger through the lives of Ahasuerus, Haman, Mordecai, and Esther and asks one important question:
What is ruling the heart when we become angry?
It also includes a practical six-lesson biblical anger management course for personal study, discipleship, teaching, counseling, or small-group use.
