I’m so excited to share my newest oil painting with you! “Lord of the Harvest”

This piece was inspired by the warmth and stillness of autumn- sunflowers reaching toward the light, a quiet cup of tea, and the soft glow of a pumpkin resting nearby. As I painted, I couldn’t help but reflect on the goodness of our Creator. The One who makes all things grow and flourish in their time.

Jesus said in Matthew 9:37–38,

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”
Devotional Thought:

In this verse, Jesus reminds us that there is a great spiritual harvest- souls ready to know Him- but few who are willing to go. The “Lord of the Harvest” is calling each of us to take part in His work, whether that’s through words, art, prayer, or acts of love. The harvest belongs to Him; our role is to simply say “yes” and trust that He’ll equip us for the task.

When we fix our eyes on Christ rather than the distractions of the world, we begin to see that our everyday moments- even something as simple as painting a still life- can become an offering of worship.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” ~ Colossians 3:2
May this painting remind you that the Lord of the Harvest is always at work- both in the world and within you. He’s growing faith, beauty, and purpose in every heart that’s yielded to Him.

Dear Beloveds,
I hope your week was filled with warmth, joy, and glimpses of God’s work in your life. Today, I want to share something close to my heart — my artistic journey and the recent progress I’ve made over just one year.

This past year has been a season of growth for me in ways I never expected. When I reflect on my recent rose painting (as shown above), I’m in awe of how much my skills have improved since last year.

It’s incredible how much can change in just one year when you commit to trusting God with your talents, allowing Him to guide your steps, and putting in the hard work. If there’s anything I’ve learned from this year, it’s that with faith, dedication, and a heart willing to grow, we can accomplish far more than we ever thought possible.

I want to encourage you, no matter where you are in your creative journey, to take that first step. Believe in the gifts God has placed within you and trust that He’ll guide you through the process. It may feel slow at first, but in just one year, you can experience incredible progress, just as I have.

God is the ultimate Creator — and in His kindness, He’s placed creativity within us. When we create, we’re not just making art, music, words, or beauty… we’re reflecting His heart.
‘So God created mankind in His own image…’ (Genesis 1:27)
He made us in His image — and part of His image is this desire to bring life, beauty, and meaning into the world.
‘He has filled them with skill to do every kind of work…’ (Exodus 35:35)
It humbles me to think that every brushstroke, every word, every small creative act can be an offering back to Him. What a gift it is to create — and to do it for His glory.

Last week, my mom and I took a peaceful trip to Rehoboth Beach. We stumbled upon the sweetest little farmer’s market (@tomatosunshine_de ) and were surrounded by the most vibrant blooms, buzzing bees, and that warm, calm feeling only nature can give. 🌸🐝 I couldn’t resist capturing the beauty of that day through a photo and turning it into a painting. As we move through this season, I want to take a moment to encourage you to pause and reflect on your journey—your growth in Christ, and how far you’ve come. Life has its ups and downs, and sometimes it feels like we’re taking two steps forward and one step back. But when we look back, we see the mighty hand of God guiding us through every moment, shaping us, and bringing us closer to who He has called us to be.

Take a moment today to reflect on God’s goodness in your life. The little moments of grace, the answered prayers, the strength He has given you in times of struggle, and the joy He has filled your heart with. His love is evident in your life, even when you don’t realize it.

You have come so far, and the work that God has begun in you is far from finished. Keep pressing forward, knowing that He is always with you, working all things for your good.

Throughout history, humanity has repeatedly disobeyed, rebelled, and caused pain to one another. Yet, in the face of our unfaithfulness, God’s kindness remains unwavering. As Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, His compassions never fail, and they are new every morning—great is His faithfulness. Despite our sins, God does not treat us as we deserve; instead, He extends boundless mercy and grace, continually offering us fresh opportunities for restoration. Most astonishing of all, in His immense love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ (through whom all things were made -John 1:1-5), to bear the penalty for our sins on the cross, making us righteous in His eyes. This incredible kindness transforms our hearts and reminds us that, no matter what, we are never beyond the reach of God’s unchanging love.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

No matter the situation, choose joy. True joy is unique because it can share space with our emotions and is not based on our circumstances. Instead, it is anchored in our hope in Christ Jesus! Unlike our situation, Jesus never changes and is always faithful. Also, Paul tells us to pray continually- make prayer a regular part of your life. Stressed? Pray. Mourning? Pray? Rejoicing? Pray. When we add prayer to our daily lives, we create a dependence on God and openness to allow God to speak to our hearts. Finally, Paul tells us to CHANGE our perspectives, to seek the things to thank God for..and those things are not hard to find. We can thank Him for our health, loved ones, the season of life we are in, you name it. Gratitude, Rejoicing, and Praying…all 3 are medicines for the soul :)
