September's Delayed Update

Greetings everyone!

This month's members only update is for everyone. That's because my PC is having a few (lots of) random issues. The image for this month highlights one of the problems I'm encountering. If you watched the last TSW3 live stream or VoD, you probably guessed I was in for a rough time. If you didn't, it ended with a BSOD (blue screen of death). At first I thought it was thermals, but recent issues have been during low ambient temperatures, and monitoring shows both CPU and GPU running well below spec and lower than average. I'll continue monitoring and running various diagnostic tools, but nothing is jumping out as the culprit yet.

So, with that in mind - I don't have anything concrete planned. If I do manage to get the system stable again I'll continue recording Railway Empire 2 and try a few live streams. I have noticed low demand games are fine, so things like Rail Route would be an option, but games that are vulnerable to crashing - crash.

I was planning on building a new PC this month, so the timing for the old one to start acting up is a little off - but at least not far off my planned upgrade. I'll be waiting on the launch of the 14th gen (13th gen refresh - or 13.5?) Intel CPU, that way I'll have a better idea on my build.

I finally want to thank you all for making this build possible. All of our members, everyone with YouTube Premium, those who watch (cope with) the ads and everyone who's donated via super chat and super comments. With your help I'm able to spend without worry and get back up and running ASAP.

Here's to no DOA parts, and hopefully have it up and running in time for Skylines 2, and I'll finally get to play TSW4 with you guys. I bought the deluxe (or whatever) edition to play it early, and my PC said no.

Until next time,
Take care!

As promised in the final episode of our Railway Empire 2 Chapter 3 playthrough, here's the results of paying off the loan versus having one. You'll be pleased to know that paying off bonds has ZERO impact on the final score (as of writing). This could of course change with future patches. First screenshot is with a bond, 2nd without - both from the same save at the same point in the game. I promise these are two different endings.

I'd also like to let you guys know I'll be testing my new internet connection this month, with a whole bunch of streams playing various games... including a trip to Scotland in Transport Fever 2!

Let me know if there's some games you'd like featured this month.

There is going to be a slight break in videos due to us having cable internet installed this week. I should know more on where we stand at the weekend. But, for the first time since living here, this is the only time we've been able to have a land-line. If it's as advertised - it'll be a 1Gb/50Mb connection, so streaming will be an option again!

I'll let you all know how it goes!

After another playthrough, I improved my score by a lot! I'm happy with that. There was definitely room for improvement, as I forget to claim a couple of instant tasks as soon as they were available.

My starting strategy was tighter and more focused, and I also connected to New York in the early game. That was key for earlier growth of the starting cities.

Really loving Railway Empire 2. But it does need a little tidying up - as it still feels clunky and unresponsive at times.

I'm looking forward to Chapter 2!

Good news! I got some sleep.

Family issues are somewhat resolved, albeit certainly not over and not ideal. I just need to fix my sleep pattern and get back to recording.

More Railway Empire 2 on the way, and the return of Transport Fever 2 is on the horizon!

Thanks for the support everyone, Arisae and I appreciate you all.

Currently dealing with a family emergency - so videos will be delayed until there's some form of resolution. Currently been awake 20 hours, and I'm not sure recording while delirious is a smart move.

I'll let you know once I know, and when I've slept again. And I'll wait on writing this months members letter.

Thank you for all the views and subs this weekend, you guys made a rough situation a little more tolerable.

April Update

This month's members only update is for everyone, as it's more of an advisory post. The reason being; Storm season is in full force for Texas. That means uncertainty for recording and editing. Over the years I've learned that there's absolutely no sense in forcing deadlines at this time of year, as that just adds unnecessary stress to an already stressful period. With that in mind, some videos maybe pushed back - not this past week though, as I managed to record ahead (and managed to get today's TpF2 edited and recorded this morning). I'll try to do the same for this week, before our next round of storms.

I'd like to, as always, thank all our past and present members for your support. And, since this is a public letter for April, I get to thank every one of you for watching with YouTube Premium, watching ads, commenting, liking and simply just watching. You guys are the best!

Railway Empire 1 & 2
With the current season of Railway Empire coming to a close, and Railway Empire 2 only a few weeks away - there will be a small gap in content. But, weather permitting, once we get to May 25th I'll be going full on with the Railway Empire 2 campaign and scenarios! To say I'm excited would be an understatement.

Transport Fever 2
The campaign will continue! It has pleasantly surprised me, and I'm enjoying my time with it. Structured gameplay is ideal during storm season, as I can record ahead (when possible) or jump in and out of recording with minimal preparation, something my larger projects don't allow. Not only that, but given how long it's been since the release of TpF2, and going by past release times - we "could" be getting close to a TpF3 announcement.

Cities Skylines 2
Yes. Lots of yes.

Once again, thank you for watching and supporting the channel! Arisae and I appreciate every one of you.

So, until next time,
Take care.
