Latest Top 10 Global Lithium Battery Installations Revealed
- Find Out Which Companies Made the List!
The top 10 companies for global power battery installations from January to August were the same as those in August, with some minor changes in rankings: CATL, BYD, LG Chem, Panasonic, SK On, SVOLT, Samsung SDI, EVE Energy, Guoxuan High-Tech, and Xinwanda.
Among the three South Korean companies, LG Chem had the highest growth rate of 78%, thanks to the continuous increase in sales of global best-selling models such as Tesla Model 3/Y, Volkswagen ID.3/4, and Ford Mustang Mach-E. SK On had a year-on-year growth rate of 35%, benefiting from the increased sales of models such as Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, and Mercedes-Benz EQA/B. Samsung SDI had a year-on-year growth rate of 52.4% due to the continuous growth in sales of models such as Rivian R1T/S, BMW i4/7/X, and Audi E-Tron.
Panasonic is currently the only Japanese company among the top 10 companies due to the strong growth in sales of models such as Tesla Model Y.
