The world often celebrates success.
We choose to celebrate significance.

Every day, across our communities, millions of people perform quiet acts of courage, compassion, responsibility and love. These acts rarely make headlines, yet they are the invisible threads that hold society together.

That is the spirit behind “Goodness in Everyday Life”—our monthly journal by EvolvIndia.

Each issue brings alive inspiring stories of ordinary people whose everyday choices create extraordinary impact. People who remind us that greatness is not measured by fame, but by the goodness we leave behind.

This month, we celebrate actor Sayaji Shinde, whose promise to his mother became a living forest. A promise rooted in love has grown into lakhs of indigenous trees, restoring ecosystems, nurturing biodiversity and inspiring thousands to care for the Earth.

His story reminds us that the most powerful promises are not spoken repeatedly.
They are quietly lived.

At EvolvIndia, we believe that human evolution begins with small daily choices:
🌱 A promise kept.
🤝 A relationship honoured.
❤️ A kindness offered.
🌍 A responsibility accepted.
🙏 A life lived in gratitude.

Because when goodness becomes a habit, it becomes culture.
When culture changes, communities flourish.
And when communities flourish, nations rise.

We owe much of who we are to our parents, our teachers, our mentors, society and nature. None of us grows alone. Every achievement carries the fingerprints of countless people who believed in us, supported us and shaped our journey. Gratitude is the beginning of wisdom, and giving back is its highest expression.

We invite you to become part of this movement.

Look around.
Notice the quiet heroes.
Share their stories.
Celebrate their goodness.
Inspire another heart.

Because every act of goodness, however small, has the power to change a life.

EvolvIndia
Evolving People. Enriching Society. Building a Better Future.

Honoured to Attend the 56th Founder’s Day Celebration of K. L. Mehta Dayanand Institutions, Faridabad

It was a privilege and a deeply enriching experience to be a part of the 56th Founder’s Day Celebration of K. L. Mehta Dayanand Institutions, Faridabad—an institution built on the timeless vision of Mahatma Kanhaiya Lal Mehta Ji, whose contribution to education has transformed the lives of countless young people.

Receiving a personal invitation from Dr. Anand Mehta Ji to attend this prestigious celebration was an honour in itself, and I am sincerely grateful for his warmth and graciousness.

At a time when quality education was beyond the reach of many middle-class and average-income families, Mahatma Kanhaiya Lal Mehta Ji envisioned institutions that would make excellent education both accessible and affordable. His mission was not merely to establish schools and colleges, but to create opportunities for young minds to dream, grow, and contribute meaningfully to society. His vision has empowered generations and continues to inspire educators across the country.

The celebration became even more inspiring with the heartfelt address by Dr. Anand Mehta Ji, President of the Society and worthy son of the founder. With immense pride, he showcased several distinguished alumni of the institution who have gone on to serve the nation as ministers, eminent political leaders, industrialists, social reformers, educationists, and other accomplished professionals. It was a powerful reminder that the true success of an educational institution lies not merely in the number of students it teaches, but in the quality of citizens it gives to the nation.

The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with positivity and reverence. The Vedic mantras, soulful music, and beautifully presented cultural performances created an ambience of gratitude and inspiration, reminding everyone that education is as much about nurturing values and character as it is about acquiring knowledge.

A special highlight of the celebration was the presence of Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions and son of the visionary founder Dr. O. P. Bhalla. His depth of understanding of education, technology, and global learning was truly inspiring. His dedication to carrying forward his father’s missionary spirit of preparing children for global opportunities while remaining rooted in strong values was evident in every word he spoke.

As an educator dedicated to protecting and developing human intelligence, I came away with a renewed conviction that the highest purpose of education is not simply to produce intelligent minds, but to nurture wise, compassionate, and responsible human beings who use their intelligence for the welfare of humanity.

My heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Anand Mehta Ji, the Mehta family, the faculty, students, alumni, and everyone associated with K. L. Mehta Dayanand Institutions for preserving and strengthening a legacy that has illuminated countless lives over the past 56 years.

May this noble institution continue to inspire generations and remain a beacon of excellence in education for many decades to come.

When Love Built a Stairway

A true story of compassion, creativity, and devotion

In a quiet village in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, 65-year-old mechanic Satti Siva Narayana Reddy spent every day watching his wife, Satyaveni, struggle to climb the 21 steps leading to their home. Years of severe knee pain had turned this simple daily task into an exhausting and painful ordeal.

Unable to bear seeing the woman he loved suffer, he decided not to wait for an expensive solution. Although he had no formal engineering degree, he relied on the mechanical skills and experience he had gained over decades of repairing machines.

For 20 days, he worked tirelessly, designing and building a homemade stair escalator inside their home. Using locally available materials, motors, chains, and his own ingenuity, he completed the project for approximately ₹70,000—far less than the cost of a commercial lift.

The homemade escalator now allows his wife to travel safely up and down the stairs without enduring painful climbing. What began as a personal act of love soon captured the hearts of millions across social media, inspiring people around the world.

But this story is about much more than a machine.

It reminds us that love notices problems, compassion searches for solutions, and creativity turns ordinary people into extraordinary innovators. Mr. Reddy did not have unlimited money or sophisticated technology. What he had was something even more powerful—a caring heart, practical knowledge, patience, and the determination to improve the life of someone he cherished.

His invention teaches us that meaningful innovation does not always emerge from laboratories or large corporations. Sometimes it is born in a modest home, where one person quietly asks, “How can I make life easier for someone I love?”

This beautiful act of devotion proves that love does not have to be expensive. It simply requires attention, imagination, and the willingness to use our abilities in service of others.

The greatest inventions are not always those that change the world; sometimes they are the ones that change one person’s world forever.

::

“Dream Come True Moment.”

🍃 Teachers Don't Need More Motivation. They Need More Self-Understanding.

Every day, teachers manage classrooms, expectations, emotions, deadlines, parents, assessments, and the silent pressure of shaping young minds.

But who helps the teacher?

As a CBSE Resource Person and Well-Being Coach, I have discovered a powerful truth:

Stress is rarely caused by workload alone.
It is often rooted in how we perceive ourselves, our roles, our expectations, and our responses to life's challenges.

That is why I conduct sessions on:

✨ Stress Management Through Understanding Self

I help educators explore the connection between self-awareness, emotional well-being, resilience, and professional effectiveness.

My sessions go beyond stress-relief techniques.

I guide teachers to understand:
✔ Their emotional triggers
✔ Their thought patterns
✔ Their strengths and limiting beliefs
✔ Their purpose and professional identity

Because a teacher's well-being directly influences student well-being.

An emotionally healthy teacher creates:
🌱 Healthier classrooms
🌱 Better learning outcomes
🌱 Stronger relationships
🌱 More compassionate school cultures

Through a blend of:
🔹 Reflective practices
🔹 Neuroscience-based insights
🔹 Emotional intelligence frameworks
🔹 Mindfulness techniques
🔹 Interactive activities and real-life applications

Participants don't just listen.

They experience, reflect, discover, and transform.

I challenge the belief that stress management is only about relaxation.

Instead, I help educators understand that:

Self-awareness is the foundation of emotional freedom.

When teachers understand themselves better, they lead better, teach better, and live better.

My mission is not merely to train teachers.

My mission is to create a movement where:

❤️ Teacher Well-Being becomes a school priority.

❤️ Mental Health becomes a daily practice.

❤️ Self-Understanding becomes a professional competency.

Because when we nurture teachers, we nurture the future.

Remembering a Distinguished Personality

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Shri Pahlaj Nihalani, a respected film producer and a prominent figure in the Indian entertainment industry.

I had the privilege of meeting him at the Women Economic Forum, New Delhi. Beyond his professional accomplishments, what stood out to me was his gracious demeanor, humility, and willingness to engage meaningfully with people from diverse backgrounds.

Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to Indian cinema and left a lasting impact on the industry. His journey serves as a reminder that true success is measured not only by achievements but also by the respect and goodwill one earns along the way.

As we remember his life and legacy, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and admirers.

May his soul rest in peace.
