We’ve had a three week break since the last episode of Tales from Tomorrow - Under the Mothman’s Embrace. Get caught up! 👇🏼

“Sometimes the only thing more dangerous than the Wasteland… is the people you trust to cross it with you.”

In the last episode of Tales from Tomorrow, our Fallout TTRPG campaign drifts further into the wilds of Appalachia — with a couple of new wary new allies and a haunting reminder that the Scorched plague is never far behind.

We pick up as the party leaves the relative safety of the Free Radicals HQ, pushing south toward the Tyler County Fairgrounds. There, they find more than scrap and carnival ruins — they meet Ruben, a lone settler pinned down by a lone Scorched. A tense fight follows: Sam and Jim find themselves hesitating at first, until Raven’s arrow finds its mark. One more infected corpse for the pile — but the disease, they learn, is a bigger threat than they’d planned for.

Ruben introduces the crew to Marlene and the rest of his scrappy homestead crew. The tension lifts (mostly) when Raven’s cult ties nearly get her run off the property — but as the team explains, the Mothman cult isn’t just a rumor anymore. They’re gathering. They’re planning. And Raven’s visions might be the only warning these settlers get before the next wave hits Appalachia.

In the hush of the Grove Family Cabin, we see what this campaign is really about: moral compromise. Old grudges against raiders. Trust issues with cultists. Night watches for hounds and Mirelurks. And always, a burning question: if you can’t trust the people beside you… who can you trust to rebuild anything at all?

✅ Hope’s boat venture pushes deeper south, toward Point Pleasant and the looming cult presence.
✅ Ruben & Marlene’s settlement introduces new local settlers to protect — or exploit.
✅ The Scorched plague, and the promise of a vaccine supply chain, becomes a vital thread.
✅ Raven’s loyalty to the Mothman cult — and her visions — get more unsettling every session.
✅ The crew edges closer to Clancy Manor, where the cult’s secrets might break the fragile trust holding the party together.
