Travel, food and stories that aims to inspire your next trip, whether in Sydney, Australia or abroad.
I love art, photography, design, thrifting, figure skating, and life's too short to eat a bad meal. I write and upload more photos on my blog - sketchandrun.com.
Sketch and Run
Premiering my newest Blue Mountains travel guide video and also a huge thank you for 2000 subscribers! 🥹 It's been a very full and hectic end of 2025, a veritable whirlwind.
I'm excited to take a little bit of time during the holiday break to plan for different kinds of creative things I'm keen to share on this channel and across socials (@sketchandrun on Instagram and TikTok primarily) next year - we are locking in for 2K26!
Your feedback and comments are genuinely invaluable to give me ideas for what you find most interesting so thank you all so much for your support ♡
Some exciting trips booked too, so stay tuned!

Thank you for 1000 subscribers! When I decided to try my best to keep up a more regular video uploading schedule this year, getting to 1k was one of my goals. This is a channel that has seen me through many 'eras' of my online creative life -- university videos, outputs of multiple internships, making videos while trying to enjoy exchanges and sporadic travel vlogs in between starting full time work.
Having been chronically online and watched so many 'eras' of content creators pass before my eyes, it's inevitable to feel a little 'late' in the process - not to mention wondering if this is still the platform that people use! But I'm excited and grateful to be in a place in my life where I have the resources to devote more intentional time to what I create, and to make stories that feel like net positives to put out into the world. Above all, I want all my content to encourage you to explore new things and places, and find delight and gratitude in them, while keeping things real.
I still heavily believe in long-form video, and so alongside shorts, I'm also working on more long-form. It feels like the thousand steps pictured in these rice fields. Every kind comment, view, suggestion or like really means more than you realise, so thank you! Here's to the next!

Excited to share the first video in my '10 in Japan' series, for first time and repeat travelers. Some hard-earned lessons from 10 trips over nearly 20 years, and hopefully a few you might not have heard before : )
