Tomorrow is race day! A mixed grid of 40+ F1 and F2 cars, driven by the great folks at HRSC, will tackle a potentially wet historic 14km Spa track for 400 km of deadly high-speed action. I'm in the #7 Ferrari and hope to have a great time - the car definitely is competitive here. I just cannot not share some images of last weekend's goodness. I've had the pleasure to be at the Circuit de Charade, visiting the Classic Racing School and burning through triple the money I made on YouTube since I've monetized my small channel in November. This day fulfilled a big dream for me, sitting in and driving a proper and historic race car for the very first time in my life. While I had a passenger ride in a Porsche 911 Cup on the Nordschleife some 10 years ago, now I finally was in control of a historically quite accurate to 60s open wheeler, a Crosslé 90F (420 kg, 110 hp). It was something not comparable to anything I have ever driven before - so raw, so physical, so unfiltered.
If/when I receive the onboard footage, I will definitely create a video summary, but I still wanted to share my excitement with you already now in advance, as you are the most engaged community members and I appreciate you being here. This serves as an excuse to not doing more Automation stuff in the upcoming 2 weeks 😄 Although I do not see the planned video as the 10k subscriber special (I still have other plans, but I just don't have a lot of time until June).
If you are interested in getting the same experience at the Classic Racing School by any chance: Please get in touch with me (see previos post about Discord), also if you generally have any questions about the event and would like to get some first hand feedback. I am not sponsored in any way by the organizers, but can only recommend what they are doing. It is very special and very much worth the money.

We're going racing on Saturday! The new 10-race season is finally starting, and this time it is 1967 and I have been selected to race the red car :) The season opener takes place on the twisty Prince George Circuit in East London (South Africa).
The HRSC community has assembled a veeery strong field, so it will be spicy! There will also be a professionally commented live broadcast again (the link will be shared once it is available).

HRSC is organizing the next racing season and it is going to be great! If you are interested in 1967 F1 or F2, and racing challenging cars with a friendly bunch of people, you should take a look! I will enter Formula A (F1) and you can do so, too, if you have some proof of being able to handle such cars over full race distances. If not, Formula B (F2) offers a very good entry point for rookies. Pre-season testing is ongoing and registrations are still open until April 12!
