Welcome, this channel is about vegan recipes and vegan food related topics. From our small kitchen we whiz up the most delicious heartwarming plant-based vegan recipes with a Mauritian touch. Also, we will occasionally share a few traditional and typical Mauritian recipes. Veganlovlie is where food meets magic! We are a vegan couple, Teenuja and Kevin.
Mauritian cuisine is a myriad of different cultures and cuisines, namely Creole/African, Chinese, European and Indian, that sprouted into something really quite unique to Mauritius. Infused with culinary delights that we have picked up from living in different countries and paired with ingredients that we like to source locally, our recipes now depict a fusion-style cuisine with a tang of Mauritian inheritance.
You can occasionally expect to see some of our DIY and crafty stuffs too.

A simple vinaigrette, artichoke hearts, fresh salad veggies, and pasta are all it takes to make a light, satisfying meal.
When fresh artichokes are in season, we love using them, but honestly, jarred artichoke hearts make this recipe so quick that we enjoy it all year round. The whole salad comes together in about the same time the pasta takes to cook, making it ideal for busy days. It's one of those family meals that always goes down well.
And if you've never prepared fresh artichokes before, the video also shows you how to trim and cook them, so don't let them intimidate you!

🌱 New recipe!
This isn't the usual tofu scramble.
Growing up eating tofu, I came to appreciate it for its own flavour and texture rather than as a substitute for something else. So for this recipe, I wanted to let tofu keep its own character while building flavour around it with seasonal asparagus, a quick homemade chermoula, toasted spices and preserved lemon.
One of my favourite moments is watching the chermoula bloom in the pan. The aroma changes completely as the herbs, garlic and spices warm together.
