Very sad update

I just spoke with our veterinarian—an incredibly kind, compassionate, and skilled professional.

Despite all treatments, Francesca’s health has deteriorated significantly over the past week. Today, she suffered a seizure, witnessed by the veterinary team.

We don’t want Francesca to suffer. After careful discussion, we were advised that it would be most humane for her not to return home and to gently let her go today.

In about two hours, we will say goodbye to our beloved Francesca.

Thank you to everyone who followed Francesca’s channel and shared love with her over the years.

I am heartbroken and will miss her forever. 😭🐾

Friends: sad news.
Francesca’s health has declined over the last days.
She is current at the veterinarian to receive IV fluids and medications (including antibiotics).
Let’s hope she recovers after the treatments today, but it is possible that her health may continue declining.

Friends: we would like to share amazing news about Francesca. She is improving a lot. She has been eating more, and is gaining her weight back. And her blood electrolytes (things like phosphorus and urea on her blood) have been looking a lot better. The veterinarian even said that now her kidney function looks like grade 2 chronic failure, and no longer grade 4, what is an amazing improvement. So, it appears that the treatment is working! Happy we have access to excellent veterinarians locally to guide us. We will continue giving her the special diet for dogs in kidney failure, and she will continue receiving subcutaneous fluid infusions, but now only every 10 days (no longer every 5-7 days), as she has improved so much. Thank you all for being so caring toward Francesca. 😊
