Over the last month i've been completing the '62 miles in 31 days challenge' in aid of Dementia UK. We lost Suzanne's Mum to this horrible disease 2 years ago this month so it is a charity very close to our hearts.
I have just 2 days left of the challenge and so far I've managed to raise an incredible £1,896, which is clinging on at #5 on Dementia UK's leaderboard.
I have to say I've really enjoyed this challenge and am certainly feeling the health benefits. After 29 consecutive days I have power walked between 3 and 4 miles every day, which totals 93.12 miles after this morning's session. I am determined to hit 100 miles by Friday!! My pace has increased from 15:33 minutes per mile to a personal best of 14:12, and I feel stronger and fitter than ever before. I have already decided to continue this as a daily routine once the official challenge is over.

Sadly, due to ongoing bogus copyright claims I have had to retire my much loved intro. This has been an onging issue for a year now and it reared its head again yesterday. It only seems to happen when I upload in the US so I had to choose between pausing the vlogs to restart them when I'm back in the UK, or carry on without it.
My vlog has always been designed to be as close to a "live" trip report as possible, and I would rather not do it at all than drip feed it to you at a later date. I've therefore decided to carry on with a temporary intro for the remainder of this series then work on a brand new one for the next trip.
I thought I'd better let you know in advance as I know I'll get many messages asking why it's not there 😁
The next vlog will drop later today...which includes an appearance by those damn Crazy Chickens again 🐔🐔🐔
