Welcome to my (mostly) retrogaming YouTube channel! You'll find videos on older games and systems as well as related stuff like new ways to play old games!
Most footage on here is recorded via emulation because it's fast and easy. I tell you if there are important differences between what you're seeing and real hardware. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days and that mystical time when arcades ruled the land.

Hey all, just a minor one day delay. Why? Did I bite off more than I could chew? Was it just an empty promise? Nope, you can blame Spectrum for it this time, my internet was out for many hours today preventing me from getting and using some resources I needed. Everything is back and I'm at about 85% total completion. So I'll have the video up tomorrow afternoon just in time for absolutely no one to watch it while they get ready for New Years parties. Awesome! Thanks Spectrum!

Hey all, the final Shining Force video is in progress and should make my self-imposed schedule of being done this year. It'll probably be on Tuesday but there is a tiny possibility it might be Sunday. On a somewhat related channel note...

Hey folks, just a quick update, I uploaded my first short but don't worry, I promise not to make a habit out of it! Testing it out to try and draw some more attention to the channel and this was a good week to test it because I have a lot of work to do this weekend and not a lot of time to work on a regular video.
If it does well, I may toss a short in every now and then, but it won't be often. What do you all think about shorts?

A message to all... are you missing videos from me or any other channels? Read this (short) explanation!
A while back, I couldn't tell you when exactly, some updates had happened at YouTube. One of these updates apparently caused alerts for new videos to be turned off for many users, including on channels they may have been receiving alerts from for years. It's easy to fix, even though you shouldn't have to. Quick directions, which can vary by platform:
1. Go to YouTube.
2. Go to manage subscriptions.
3. next to each channel you to which you subscribe is a bell icon drop down list.
4. Click the bell for any channel you want alerts from and set it to All.

I finished the video tonight. I rendered it. I played it back and some of the voiceover was missing. My computer started acting up so I restarted. I lost ALL OF THE MASTER SOUND RECORDINGS and the video is randomly missing voiceover in places. Which is a long way of saying... Thursday. I spent over 10 hours on this today and finished it and now I have to redo about a quarter of it. Then I noticed the SSD I've used for years to house my files for my videos died after the computer restarted.
To say this has been a not great day on the computer would be an understatement. The video is still coming, everything else besides the audio was on another drive thankfully.

Alrighty, this again, sorry, slight update, next video will be Tuesday. I underestimated the amount of time I had to spend on my graduate work this week, it required many hours on a research project. I've got most stuff together for the video but haven't recorded the audio yet and need to get some gameplay footage. So Tuesday it is!

Hey folks. Next video Sunday. Sorry for the delay but you can probably guess the reason... sick again. The perils of being a public school teacher. This time I cant talk for five seconds without coughing which makes it a little tough to record speech. Taking medicine and giving it a couple of more days.
Don't worry, I'm working on some other pretty cool stuff NOT video related that... well, I can't talk about yet. But you'll love it, even if YouTube will do its best to make sure you never see it!
Some pretty big stuff for retrogaming fans... what could it be? Who can say?
