IISc Bengaluru witnessed something special this Saturday. ❤️
And honestly, seeing this made us really happy. 🥹
This Saturday, students and parents travelled all the way from Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and different parts of the country just to attend the felicitation ceremony of YSC 2026, Young Scientist Challenge at the IISc Bengaluru auditorium, organised by SciAstra Foundation in collaboration with the IISc Biology Club.
For many students, it wasn't just about receiving recognition. It was also about visiting IISc, exploring the campus, experiencing the atmosphere of one of India's premier research institutions, and living a dream they had looked forward to. Some even travelled by air with their parents to be part of this experience. The excitement on their faces made it all the more special. ❤️
The ceremony was graced by our Chief Guest, Prof. Dileep Jatkar, Former Director, HRI Allahabad, an autonomous institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
We started YSC with a simple thought: science should be about curiosity, not just memorisation. Students should have the opportunity to question, think, challenge themselves and enjoy learning.
Seeing this initiative bring together so many young minds and their families makes all the effort worthwhile. A heartfelt thank you to the IISc, our Chief Guest, students, parents and everyone who made this possible.
And we're just getting started! 🚀
