History is unforgiving toward peoples and nations that fail to develop the power necessary to protect themselves. Military strength and technological competence are foundations of sovereignty. Rome combined military discipline with engineering, logistics, infrastructure, and administration. The Greek states understood that political survival required organized land and naval forces. Chinese dynasties invested in metallurgy, fortifications, military science, logistics, and technologies that eventually transformed warfare itself. Britain later fused industrialization with naval dominance, while modern powers such as the United States and China have built enormous scientific, technological, industrial, and defense institutions. The lesson is clear: wealth without protection is vulnerability, independence without deterrence is fragile, and development without the capacity to defend it can be taken away. Peace is strongest when potential aggressors understand that attacking you will carry an unacceptable cost.

But modern military power is no longer simply about soldiers carrying weapons. Modern military power is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) power. Science determines what is possible. Technology connects intelligence networks, communications, cyber defense, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems. Engineering turns ideas into aircraft, satellites, ships, drones, missiles, radar systems, robotics, and infrastructure. Mathematics calculates trajectories, encryption, targeting, navigation, probability, and logistics. The strongest defense capabilities on Earth exist because generations of physicists, mathematicians, engineers, programmers, chemists, manufacturers, strategists, and scientists mastered difficult subjects and converted knowledge into capability. There will be no advanced aerospace industry without mathematics. There will be no missile defense without physics. There will be no cybersecurity without computer science. There will be no technological sovereignty without engineers. A people that refuse to master STEM will eventually become dependent upon the people who do. If another nation designs your critical technology, manufactures your advanced systems, controls your supply chains, and possesses knowledge that you do not, then that nation holds forms of power that you do not.

That reality must fundamentally change how the Black community approaches education. Black children cannot be prepared merely to participate in society; they must be prepared to compete at its highest intellectual and technological levels. Mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, aerospace, medicine, economics, strategy, and advanced manufacturing must become priority disciplines. Entertainment and athletics can have value, but they cannot become the primary vision placed before a generation while the commanding heights of science and technology are built elsewhere. We need children who can solve difficult problems. If Black students consistently fall behind in the disciplines that produce the world's most important technologies, the Black community will remain vulnerable, dependent, and increasingly disadvantaged in a civilization being transformed by AI, robotics, advanced computing, aerospace, biotechnology, and defense technology. That cannot be accepted as normal.

The standard therefore must rise. STEM mastery must become a cultural priority. Families, schools, organizations, and communities must deliberately cultivate mathematical ability, scientific curiosity, technical competence, strategic thinking, and intellectual confidence from childhood.

History repeatedly demonstrates that those who master the sciences and technologies of their age gain extraordinary influence over those who do not. The Black community therefore cannot treat STEM as optional interests reserved for a small number of gifted students. They must become pillars of long-term development. We must raise a generation prepared not merely to watch history happen, but to build, defend, and shape the institutions that determine it.

Play Time Over. As we gear up for the school year across the nation we must understand that education is not simply about passing classes, collecting grades, or earning a diploma—it is about the acquisition of power. Knowledge creates the ability to determine our own future, build institutions, create wealth, solve difficult problems and compete at the highest levels. We are pursuing nothing less than intellectual supremacy: the determination to become so knowledgeable, skilled, disciplined, and prepared that excellence becomes our identity.

We are not walking into school to play around, chase popularity, or waste our potential. Mastery is the objective. We are going to read more, study harder, ask critical questions, sharpen our minds, strengthen our weaknesses, and refuse to settle for mediocrity. When others become distracted, we stay focused. When others become comfortable, we keep working. When the material becomes difficult, we become more disciplined.

We are entering this school year prepared to compete and dominate intellectually by raising our own standard beyond what is expected of us. We respect our competition, but we intend to outwork them, outstudy them, out prepare them, and outperform them. Every classroom is an opportunity. Every book is a weapon against ignorance. Every skill mastered increases our capacity to shape the world around us. No excuses. No wasted potential. Play Time Over!

Our youth must pursue mastery in mathematics, physics, engineering, strategy, and public policy because these disciplines form the foundation of power, security, and lasting progress. Mathematics develops precision and disciplined reasoning. Physics reveals the laws that govern energy, motion, materials, and technology. Engineering transforms knowledge into infrastructure, transportation, communications, medicine, aerospace systems, and defense capabilities. Strategy and policy determine how these resources are organized, protected, and used in the service of a people’s long-term interests. A community that neglects these fields may participate in society, but it will remain dependent upon those who design its systems, control its institutions, and shape its future.

These professions are not luxuries; they are essential to the survival and advancement of modern civilization. Artists and athletes can inspire a people, but scientists, engineers, strategists, and policymakers help secure the conditions in which a people can live, build, prosper, and defend themselves. Credible deterrence is not created by rhetoric alone. It is built through knowledge, technological capability, strong institutions, disciplined leadership, and the capacity to protect critical infrastructure and national interests. We must therefore teach our youth that intellectual mastery is a form of service, that technical excellence is a source of independence, and that the highest purpose of education is not merely personal success, but the strength, security, and advancement of the entire community.

‪@powerftp‬The next generation of consequential global leaders will be built in the CLASSROOM. This school year and onward we must COMMIT OURSELVES TO ACADEMIC SUPREMACY. We as a community must challenge ourselves to ensure that our youth will be equipped to compete in this new paradigm: A Cognitive War. We cannot just pray for our next generation of leaders. WE MUST TRAIN THEM. Train them for mastery of critical thinking in economics, physics, medicine, law and strategic deterrence. There is no cavalry coming, so we must be the architects and engineer our position in global dominant power.

When we pick up that video game, other cultures around the world are studying. When we are playing with balls, other cultures around the world are refining their minds. When we are watching TV, other cultures around the world are planning our future for their benefit. We must go and seize back our rightful spot on the throne of Global affairs.

Our message to the community is this: Do not be interested in the crumbs. Don’t even be interested in the cake. Your focus and your goal should be about owning the bakery.
