Already started the sketching and conceptual phase for the next video ♟️ I have a pretty good idea of how it’s going to be structured, I’m thinking a massive world tournament series of fantastical, huge chess games, in different environments kind of like Mario kart track races.

Going to be getting a lot of design inspiration from kingdom Hearts, sky cotl and a few Nintendo games like Mario and Zelda.

Since I’m wanting to design a semi- story (for the video) with a set of chess pieces being characters, I felt having 16 was too many- 8 pawns was quite a lot with the others so I’m having it be one pawn who can split themselves into eight different versions using a necklace of pearls- like how the top of a pawn chess piece is just an orb.

Then the Bishop consists of two entities, the bishop and their hat which can morph into another entity✨ Then two Rooks and my two knights 🐦 🐴 (haven’t done sketches for them yet)
