Holmies — the new episode is up! ❤️
This one has one of those projects that probably doesn’t look enormous from the outside, but for me it makes such a difference.
Ryan finally built the little shelves we’d been talking about for the microwave and toaster oven/air fryer/convection oven, and getting those appliances off the counter gave us back a surprising amount of workspace.
And yes… there’s more dock building too. 😄

You know how things go out here… one project turns into another, and sometimes you finish building something only to immediately start wondering what you’re going to do with it next. 😂
In Episode 4, Ryan is back working around the sawmill, we put up another temporary shelter after what happened to the last one, and we start getting ready for another trip off the island.

Ryan and Melodi wandered over to these old cabin ruins and started imagining possibilities.
There’s no roof, very little left of the original structure and it is definitely not our next project — but what if someday we built a little room inside the old log walls and kept the ruins around it as part of the character?
A tiny art studio in the woods sounds rather nice… 🎨🌲
